Aye this town is dead tbh. Its sad when u read its history, like everyone's heard of the Paisley Pattern? Theres stunning old buildings.
Now the place crawls with heroin addicts and new pubs and shops only stay open until the first months rent is due. Bookies (betting shops) and pound shops (dollar stores?) And smack dealers are the only businesses that survive here.

...don't think my part of Bristol is any better...Sure there's plenty of history like Brunel, Great Western Railway, Slave Trade, Concorde, etc. That's one reason why I came to China.

I almost gave up.

Okay I work at McDonalds.. It grinds my gears when people come in and treat the workers like they are stupid, and treat them like crap. It makes me not want to work here. Most of the time its good, but why do some people have to ruin my day, because their life sucks.

I've seen this in a lot of stores/restaurants and have experienced it as a call center worker.

I've heard the suggestion that everyone should be required to work customer service/retail for a year, and while I recognize that's nowhere near doable, it would probably adjust a lot of customer attitudes toward "the help".

I'm one of those customers who's been there, done that, so try hard to be Ms. Nice as a customer.

I've had a poopy day.

I'm going to bed, I wish you all well.

I had a rough morning, I had to resign for fear of my personal safety at the workplace, so I'm not sure I'm gonna be able to find another job in time to make enough money to pay for my senior fees this coming school year on the bright side, I was able to bring my girlfriend a bunch of roses after not seeing her for a couple of months

I forgot to mention my landlord went far enough to ban musical instruments. I'm filing a complaint in the morning and if I don't get an email while I am at the beach next week, I am putting in my two weeks notice.

I really do hope things improve for all three of you.

The ones in the pet stores have them removed. Privately bred - up to the new owner.
The Vulcan hated the smell. I never really smelled the girls - they were privately bred.
They are now in the UK, kid has 3 batches of ferrets, and none get along! The Brit ferrets can't stand the American ones. Nor can one group of Brit ferrets stand the other group of Brit ferrets. We've had up to 7 here and they all got along. Is a Polecat a wild ferret? A polecat here is a skunk. Ferret rescue had some Chinese Polecats - she was registered to keep them. Looked like our Black-foots which are extremely endangered.

About animals on the roof - our neighbors had a hot tub and a fairly low roof overhang. One day we watched a fox chase a squirrel all over the roof. I can imagine what THAT sounded like.

I remember growing up in a house with wood floors and always being amazed at how a two-pound kitten could sound like a thundering herd running down the hall. I frequently believe that cats can adjust their local gravity at will.

I have the misfortune of living in the only state in the US that bans ferrets, but I hear they're a lot of fun.

... and yet you can find ferret chow in any *mart. I had a friend who owned two of them, despite the abovementioned restriction (didn't the Governator have some?), and he described them as adorable little monkeys who had a penchant for getting into stuff you don't want them to get into... like trying to make a nest out of the cabling behind the computer and stuff.

Also, one of them was a malicious little cuss-word-- didn't like his room-mate, so would take any chance to mess with him, like biting his toes when he was sleeping and stuff.

My friend loved the hell out of those guys, though, and when they died, he was absolutely devastated.

I miss ours. They moved to England. We did have one that bit toes, but the rest of the family were not consistent in dealing with her. I was, so she didn't bite mine. Her sibling understood NO!

We had a deaf one and one that did snitch socks. He'd climb in the bureau from the back and grab all the Vulcan's socks.

I had her litter trained and sitting up for treats in like 2 weeks! she would snuggle with me and play fetch too! she was de- scented but she still had a musky smell....awe....she was really a sweet heart! and she got along great with my ding bat cats! they would wrestle and play for hours!!!ferrets can be great pets!

I used to take my dog with me everywhere I went, didn't need anyone else to look after her, if I went into a store (or any other building she wasn't allowed into) she'd sit patiently outside waiting for me to come out again. People who want to take their pets everywhere should train them to behave...
