I hate laundry.. No matter how you spin it.. Laundry sucks and is a waste of time IMO... Then again... I hate doing laundry

It's my nemesis and I will destroy it
Eventually....:)

Yeah same here. I wait until the VERY last minute to do the laundry.

But sadly, unless you want to wear that same pair of underwear over and over until they rot, or have the cops banging down your door for indecent exposure, there's not really that many options available.

Director wants "staff" to wear green "staff" shirts for the camp season. (We are teachers the rest of the year....)

Wouldn't be so bad if she gave usore than 2!!!! ( 5 work days! In hot sun. painting with 2 year olds....Can't re-wear shirts more than 1 day in a row... )

Wow, talk about a bad situation that could have been easily solved if the director wasn't being such a stinge about it. :(

You're a teacher doing a summer camp? Yeh, I know about that. They've given you two shirts that you must wear, and you can't wear a shirt for more than one day, which is understandable. Easy; you handwash one shirt at night or use a washer if available, only takes 10-15 minutes, put it out to dry and wear the other shirt next day, and alternate as you go.

Seems like it will get annoying!

I wash them both every 2 days. Problem is, they are cheaply made and are now pilling, faded and look like crap. Parents hate them. It is a daycare center that has infants through prekindergarten, so parents expect the educational aspect as well....This is the last week of camp, though. Then center closed for week before college students return.

If it's pilling then water is too hot. Handwash it cold, as long as it doesn't pong, you'll be OK. Ironing is very important if you want to look presentable. Irons are cheap, or if you're in a hotel, use the press.

I know about doing summer camps, I've been doing it for too long. China or USA, doesn't make much difference.

I would like to hang my clothes out to dry, but I live in an irrigated desert-- high dust and the lovely smell of manure when the farmers are fertilizing the fields.

What really irritates me is not having a computer. I have survived a whole month and a half without, but I finally have a shiny new Toshiba in my lap.

I have a whole hour of experience with Windows 8 and already having issues with it. :(

Want some of our rains? :D

After one whole hour? I was in trouble right after start up; swiping my lappy's screen :o

And I live in the Gobi desert. :smokingsomb: Maybe still better than stinking of BO. I if it's high dust and hot, dry your clothes inside your apartment.

Might I suggest you try Linux?

Our HOA... grrrrr! Stupid lawn maintenance people chopped up the brand new soaker hose (along with killing every one of the bushes along the walkway to our front porch) last summer. So we had the HOA president out here a month or so ago to ask what we wanted to do... yank up the old dead bushes, their roots, and toss in some new dirt (dirt is 20 years old, I can't imagine there's much nutrients for plants in it).

At any rate, the agreement we made was that we were going to plant our own stuff there. I go out there today and the bastages have planted the entire thing up with some bushes... I don't even know what they are. No new soil either... just overturned old dirt with tons of rocks and huge bits of the old bushes (GRRR). We were going to clean it up and just toss in our own dirt, and I wanted to plant some Carol Mackie Daphne, Hostas and a few other things and now I can't.

:banghead: I am not a happy camper at the moment.Really really really not happy.

I have been a Linux user for a good decade; most notably an Ubuntu user for the past five years or so; but now going to Mint.

In fact, I have a newly-burned DVD of Mint 15 (Cinnamon) in the drive right now, waiting for me to reboot this thing and see if I can not screw everything up doing a dual-boot installation.
