Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

You're missing the point, or I'm misinterpreting your post. If the latter, then I apologise.

I don't care.

Mrs Presidente is healthy, happy (as happy as a woman can be when she's at this stage of her pregnancy) and if I do say so my self, is absolutely glowing. Her midwife says she wishes all the potential mothers take as good care of themselves as her. Best she can tell, the baby is active and healthy too.

Whether it's a boy or a girl it's utterly unimportant to the both of us. How people with no medical training whatsoever can tell the sex when trained professionals who do it for a living can't is what's grinding my gears.

That was more of a reply to the others. Old wives tales and those who think you should care.
 
For the children is really getting to me. I've seen ads for ADULT vitamins that look like freaking gummi bears, and I just saw packs of some of the same vitamins for special purposes (energy, relax) mixed in with the candy in the supermarket. Not in childproof containers, either.

And with the all the anti obesity stuff going on, is it a good idea to make medicine look and taste like candy (antacids are getting guilty, too)? What kind of message is that sending?

Another bad day at the job. Upper management basically threatened to fire me because of a "bad attitude.". If they would just leave me alone and threw their weight around when they needed to, there wouldn't be any problems. If only I had another job lined up, I wouldn't have bit my tongue.

EDIT: And the bus on the way home is late again. It's probably that same noob driver from yesterday. *sigh* FML :banghead:
 
I was in the middle of writing a Fedora 19 review for my blog and the Wi-Fi crapped out grrrrr. Luckily WordPress does automatic draft saves. I'll have to finish it later though

I hear ya! I was crapped off enough a week or so back that I said to my boss and his wife, "Give my pay pay now and I'll go." They shut up, knowing full well they can't replace me, especially at the illegally low rate they pay me...

Installing on your personal machine is not terribly hard. I have a personal blog on my laptop, but right now the only readers it has are people I specifically invited (and who accepted the invitation) and I have a plugin that emails my posts out to them.

What I haven't mastered yet is a means to move any of those posts into the online version of my blog... I have to manually extract the relevant posts from my local installation and upload them to the WordPress server, which is a pain in the rear.

Perhaps I should set it up to post via email, and then it would update in the same manner as my faithful five readers (all nine of them ;) ) get it...

Meh, that's not possible. School has some software that's is windows only and they are heavily invested in windows with these over powered computers. I mean an i7 processor for Microsoft word. Its a bit over kill.
