Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

But in all seriousness, my dog tore my mattress, so I have had to sleep in the floor for like week. My freaking neck and back are always so sore.
Thank God I get another one this weekend.

As for not answering posts, I don't like to troll threads if I have no knowledge and therefore answers.

Occasionally, I'll flex my exceptional searching skills and provide a few additional references for people, but...

I don't think anyone wants the wrong answers, I meant in general my posts aren't usually answered.

Oh, I have that problem all the time-- I can usually find answers to my problems on the intarwebs, so when I do post a problem it's because the answer isn't obvious or I've exhausted most solutions.

On several occasions, I have answered my own questions in those threads... for the benefit of others (or myself, when I inevitably screw up again).

Besides which, you can substitute any word for tranny and crashbox.
In other words - you can learn to ignore hurtful people by living with your standards, as there are support groups, or you can seek other help if something really bothers you.

I don't think everyone needs to be labelled and neatly put in a box just to satisfy society and bean counters.

The synchros went in one gear on my Spitfire and I was using that gear crash. Lived with it until I rebuilt the car.

I don't tend to answer my questions often but on occasion if I find an answer I'll post it so someone else will know.
 
Setting up for a rather large project, getting my config files updated, making sure the paths are correct, checking and re checking server information, account information, etc etc etc. Going to initiate and ...... crash, boom, bang.....

Have to go thru everything just to find a damn semicolon out of place, or a 100 freaking kb file that wasn't updated or something.

I've ranted about this before but damnit it keeps happening lol
 
Wow, 9 months and already I am a 'senior member'? Did someone peek at my age? :rolleyes:

I have a writing assignment to do (and studying, which I am of course putting off to the last minute), and while I am writing up a storm, it is all crap and I can't make a decent story out of any of it.

That is a little bit frustrating...

I got mine recently. I was pretty shocked too since I started just in June. I was like what? Already? Lol

Seriously, go take a walk. I walked home from a local minor league game when I got pissed at the dude sitting next to me. I wrote my Geology term paper on the way home. It was around a 3 mile walk.

Used to walk around campus and work on projects, and riding pillion on the bike used to clear the air, also.
 
*sigh* The public transit system fails me again. I missed my transfer within mere seconds because of the driver of the first bus slowing his ass around approaching downtown. Now I'm stuck at the bus terminal for another hour. :/
