Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

It also has a lot to do with the maintenance costs mentioned earlier, insurance costs, and the fact that I don't care if someone wants to play chicken over a parking spot. Dings and dents are no problem.
Approx $1,000 every few years. I could spend more than that on maintenance alone for a new vehicle (and likely will for my wife's Honda Fit), not to mention repair costs are higher, license plates and tabs, etc.

A beat up car that you do not value as much.. Thats a good idea. Good for playing chicken.

If they want the car for parts, yes. There are rings that steal cars and sell parts on the black market.

On my Spitfire, they would have had to tow it. I used to take the rotor with me when I parked. The top had been slashed once, so I usually didn't lock it.

The ol' chop shops, I've heard about them.

A different product gets promoted:

A. Bait and Switch

B. The store doesn't carry the item you asked for. "A substitute is just as good"

C. What you asked after sucks and the sales rep is finding a polite way to steer you in a better direction.

I've given a lot of business to reps who put me on the right path when I was asking for something bad.

Burn me once, I'll lose you business.

Serve me once and you'll get my friends as customers coming out of the woodwork.

You know, I can still see the face and remember the name of the 3rd grade teacher who caused me to resent school from that point on.
What really grinds my gears is teachers who have no real love of the sacred profession they have chosen, or the students that they can break with their abuse of authority.

What really grinds my gears is the kids in the classes below me, I'm a Senior and these Juniors, Sophomores and Freshman have a lot of growing up to do. Life isn't all Facebook and trucks, how is our future gonna depend on you when you can't even do good in school.

And what about the younger generations music? Wtf happened to it?

I was born in 92, so unfortunately for me I can't remember back when music actually meant something. (Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Nirvana, Creedance Clearwater Revival, etc.)
:banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

But on a positive note I'm getting a 2002 Chevy Camaro from my dad soon. I'll post pics here when I get it to cheer people up :)

My day today was actually pretty decent. No computer issues at the job, no run ins with management and I was able to catch a ride home with a co-worker instead of riding that damned bus. Today was also a pretty easy day too. And this is on a Monday.

Working a 6 hour shift and no break?

Not cool man. So not cool.

Sorry, I'm not feeling your pain at the moment. I am recovering from a road-trip: a simple five- or six-hour task that turned into a 20 hour shift.

All because my work partner forgot to include a power cord.

And I had to work the next day.

... so I made sure he got put on a road-trip that will likely last all night and then some. Karma is so much like an ex-wife.
