Had a listen to this song.... I think I feel a bit better

Easy does it, the language filter is overheating.![]()
Snoring that sounds like Darth Vader with asthma and paper thin hotel bedroom walls.
Our situation has us living in a motel right now, and believe you, me, I understand and sympathize. Not just the snoring, but they fight, blast the TV, and they're constantly banging up against the wall. I work here to and I can't even get the management to do anything about it.

I get reminded of Laid by James. Where the lyrics go "The bed is on fire with passionate love.
The neighbours complain about the noises..."
Think management would actually spend a night in their own bedrooms? Probably not.
I have my new moto g connected to have SMS go to Hangouts. Now when people call me, the call goes to my iPod instead of my cell phone.
Ugh Android problems.
That's weird.
Its also bothering me that Google is pressuring companies to keep to stock Android. It goes against the freedom of Android. I really like Magazine UX with the New Pro series of tablets from Samsung.

I sincerely hope that Android doesn't follow the footsteps of 'lurking' Microsoft, or the proprietary model of Apple. That, fellow AF-ers, would really grind my gears. If you look at tech history, Windows was stolen, with a dual-OS mishmash of Windows, and DOS. Apple, in its infancy, shared with developers; then, they got bit, and became proprietary. When Motorola couldn't keep up with PowerPC chip demand, due to other endeavors, Apple had to re-invent MacOS with X. If Android follows any of these models, it would be sad, indeed. Then, it would be up to developers to come up with a Linux alternative - an alternative that could run apps cross-platform, so it could capture marketshare in quick fashion. I've got to buy Linux and Android For Dummies, so that maybe I can get in on the ground floor (yeah, right). Or, maybe someone out there could take me under their wing, and help me catch up. I can still dream, can't I?

That about sums it up lol.
Oh no, they have their own personal apartment here, and the other things that they allow. One woman, I call hock-a-loogy-lady, the Hawaiian phlem queen, spews her nastiness everywhere including the carpeting, in which I have to clean. But since she pays her rent, that's all they care about. Um the rest of us do too, and shouldn't have to deal with that. And I'm not talking little spots, but I'll spare you all the details...

I'm sure that's one reason why the Chinese have hard ceramic floors, easier to clean and disinfect. Carpets are a western thing. Always amuses me when I read Chinese hotel reviews on western sites like Trip Adviser. Probably the number one complaint and whining is about hard beds. We like sleeping on hard beds here, if don't like it tough, or spend some more money and stay in an expensive Radisson or Hilton or something. People here can often sleep through anything, so might not care so much about TVs on full blast, shouting, fights, ladies of the night, etc. ...and I've yet to find a minibar that doesn't have condoms.
BTW it was final night in a "business" hotel near Tiananmen Square, sleeping in my own bed tonight.
Even cheap hardwoods would be better, or tear the carpeting up and just have the concrete down there, problem solved. But that would be too easy. I can't do a hard bed, I like to sink into it, lol. We get complaints too, about stupid stuff, but they're paying $35.00 a night, um not too bad for a decent hotel. It has its issues, but mostly for the weeklies, like us, that stay, but then its only either ugly paint or ugly carpet. Although we had one customer leave because we have the older 27" TVs, whatever.. Noise usually don't bother me but its me and my kid and she has to go to bed early for school. If it were just me, I wouldn't care. What's a mini bar? Lmbo!
At least it was only your last night. Enjoy your own bed..

To RedBear & mikedt -
During my homeless experience a few years back, I stayed at one of those -2 star hotels that had weeklies staying, as I did. Crack hookers, dope dealers, and other society refuse stayed there, and if you sang like a bird to management, strange things would happen to your car or, phlegm would be smeared across your door... or... worse. Man, I was glad to be out of that place. I grew up in a Northeastern city (USA), where there was a good-sized Asian population. Most of those that I met were restaurant owners, architects, and others that had embraced the 'American Dream'. They were some of the nicest people I had ever met. I even danced the Highland Fling as a second grader with a Chinese girl named Carol; her dad was an architect with a Boston firm, and he was a very intelligent, Volvo-driving guy who loved golf. My father and mother became friends with Carol's parents, and the Chinese cuisine we all ate at their house was wonderful. My family entertained theirs at our house, and they loved my mother's Italian fare. My upper middle class experience as a youth was great. Never experienced what I've read here, until the 2008 depression. What a wake-up call.

We at least have air conditioning, even though it's one A/C shared between rooms
