When I get my RN and a real job, I'm buying a REAL truck :p

Work sucked...

McDonalds updated their network for all their computers... Big Mistake for them. Today the network had technical difficulties and would not store orders within the system, so we would have to manually look for the order so the customer could pay... Sometimes the system would erase the order altogether. In that case the order taker would have to put in the whole order again, making the people in the kitchen make it twice.

I love technology as much as the other geek, but updates like this are a step backwards, and the whole day I was so frustrated, getting mad at the system, cursing at it and all. Told my manager this update was horrible and they need to tell corporate to fix it. I felt like contacting them myself, but complaining about a network? Seems unreal.

So, our average time was 13 minutes for getting an order out. 999 seconds is about 13 minutes right?

Pollen. No not allergies, my car... Every time I clean it, next day it's covered in pollen, when will it stop??

Finally got around to giving my car it's first "real" wash and wax of the season Saturday. I've taken it to the spray wash a few times, but haven't put the time into a detailed cleaning. Of course, it rained about five hours later, but it was shiny for a minute lol.

one of my first jobs was working at a coffee shop in the summer when I was a junior? in high school...we took the orders on one of those green "thank you for coming" old fashioned order pads...and hung it in order of order taken on the merry go round thingy for the cook...:) then he/she would put it in the window ring the bell with his spatula and yell "Order Up!" when it was done:D

Did you have to yell things like "Adam and Eve on a raft"? ;)

If so, then why won't you answer any of my queries? I've tried email, your 'live chat' got as far as me submitting my question and then I got no answer (and now there are never any associates available).

A couple of minutes ago, there was a couple drinking heavily on the back of the bus (a 40oz. and two 24oz. cans of beer). Then I heard some sort of altercation back there that involved that same couple and someone else pulling out a knife on them.

Apparently, the couple started it and was banned from all buses. Even though the whole situation could have been much worse, I really regret having to rely on public transit. It's like a zoo on wheels.

It so fun to know what others think about china. I have a friend whose stomach doesn't understand chinese food. In his words, never trust a fart in china, you may shit. ROTGL.

What really "grinds my gears" are people that think they are perfect in every single way. I love to see some self-confidence in a person but I hate it so much when they think they are literally a god or goddess.

I also hate when people say about bullying others and how wrong it is but then proceed to bully people they deem lesser than them.

I think people in general annoy me.

Why can't I upload a video to YouTube while at work while on my tablet? Problems with the network it says. So, I have to continue to upload from my home computer using up my bandwidth. I been uploading a lot of videos lately, and I think that's why my internet is becoming slower than usual. Having a hard time watching HD content on YouTube. Keeps buffering.

See if it speeds up at your next billing cycle. Some ISPs have data caps even if they say they don't.

You know what really grinds my gears?

Websites that autoplay videos, pop adverts in the middle of my reading

applies to phone browsing and desktop browsing..

Just because you can do it, doesn't mean you should! Especially when someone is using a phone to browse your website.. I hate getting on a site scrolling down a tad and out of nowhere this giant add takes up 9/10 of my screen and I have to struggle to hit the tiny x with out hitting the ad.. and when I'm on mobile data I don't want you to assume I want to watch your stupid video ads..

Rant over

Agreed and agreed. Pop-ups are bad enough, but when it becomes a video commercial for a product advertised on television it really grinds my gears. On the PC my fianc

Why Can't I ever Fall Asleep?

How often do you work out?
I find I sleep much easier on days I work out compared to days I don't

Do you drink caffeine?
I realized that I was drinking caffeine too late and it was affecting my sleep..I love soda but I made a rule, no caffeine after 9pm. I've also chosen to drink more caffeine free soda

Have you tried a fan or ambient noise machine?
These are a huge help for me

Do you read before bed?
I find reading a chapter before bed relaxes me..if you already do, perhaps this activity is stimulating your brain too much before bed..

I would take a look at your daily activities and see what adjustments you can make...hope this helps :)

Why Can't I ever Fall Asleep?

I have the same problem. Usually, it's the things on my mind that keep me awake. Some are issues that I cannot fix; sad memories; then, there's the old standby called regret. I sympathize with you, and it has been tough for me on many nights. However, I played a gig last night that was very therapeutic for me, at least. Still, the voices from the past torment me regularly. Psychiatry and therapy along with medicine has helped... yet, the bad thoughts continue. I recently experienced nearly losing my fianc

I've never taken a computer class in my life; I've learned everything from Z80 assembler and Forth to C++ and Java strictly through self-study. After all, you can't go back to college every time a new language comes out! But I admit that's doing it the hard way.

(I take it back, I took a Pascal lab once. Utter waste of time, learned more on my own, which is why I forgot about it. Anyone remember Pascal?)

But if we're ranting, bad teachers are one of my pet peeves. From what I hear from my kids it sounds like they do very little in school any more but watch movies and make collages of American History... we're so doomed.

I also don't get the Guitar Hero thing, being an actual real-world musician... my stepson loves the game so I asked him if he'd like a real Fender Strat and amp for Christmas. Naah, not interested, he'd rather play the game.

Boy I hear ya on the bad teacher thing. Back in high school I had a music teacher with a Jeckle and Hyde personality. She was nice to the kids who sucked up to her, but mean to the ones who didn't. About the Guitar Hero game. I'm a gamer myself but I've never played that game. I know it's some kind of rhythm game. This is just a fun game that just let's you play guitar without much musical ability. There's no need to read sheet music, No need to learn proper hand positions for playing chords. No need to keep the Guitar in tune. Not bad mouthing the games just trying to offer a little inside as to why the boy turned down your gift,

Let's talk about race for a moment. I just want to get this off my mind.

Yesterday it hit me. Of the 72 people who are employed at the McDonalds that I work at, I realized I am the only Caucasian employee that works at the place. It took me almost 2 years to finally hit me I'm literally the only one. There's no diversity where I work and that bothers me.
