The free barbeque and tickets won't be worth it if they do that. Another tradition is the dad get's pie eyed and arrested on television and I was hoping to live up to that one.:beer:

It was after some over zealous idiots set a couple cop cars on fire after they won the world series..and fights at games etc....
blahahaha....I can't even believe they thought that would fly!...pretty sure no one went to a game that year. (I think I was under age so wouldn't have mattered to me) but still....YUCK!

and I'm a veg...but not having peanuts thrown at you from the guy selling them in the stands is like not having a hot dog thrown at you...from...the ..guy..selling them..

I hate the fact that I am stuck in that awkward position where I have no job experience and I am looking for a job but can't find one. Although I recently applied for UPS *fingers crossed*

The problem with all corporations these days is with so many people unemployed, they can afford to be picky and get people with the exact experience they want. See below for full fledged rant.
Corporations these days are screwing people 6 ways from Sunday. First they are not paying for increased productivity gains over the last 10 years. Second, due to increased productivity (fewer workers accomplishing the same work), there are more workers than jobs, so they can pay even lower salaries. Third, corporations don't fund defined benefit retirement programs anymore, which in the past put the burden of investing and paying out on the corporation. Now corporations contribute minimally or not at all and put the burden of investing on the employee. Fourth, the health care burden has been shifted primarily to the employee, who now not only pays for premiums but also has huge deductibles and copays. Is it any wonder people are getting desperate?

Accidentally hit post. But this can all be summed up with the fact that corporate profits are at an all time high as a % of GDP and wages are at an all time low.
Anecdotally look at how expensive mcdonalds has gotten at the same time the amount of beef and potatoes they give you has gone down. Can you say profit?!

Rant for the evening: I can't sleep. Even with assistance from prescribed drugs, and a dose of Melatonin, I lie next to my lovely lady and peck at this LG keyboard. sfbloodbrother will relate to this, I'm sure... possibly, many others. It is almost twenty minutes to midnight on the East Coast of the USA, and I lie awake. As Dr. McCoy on Star Trek would say: "Dammit, Jim!" So, I rant. Yay me! A comfortable bed doesn't even help. Aside from the light emitted from the phone's display, it is pitch black. I'm not wearing my cheaters, so the phone has to be held at a distance. Well, I guess that I've ranted enough. May everyone here at AF get a good night's rest, and hopefully there won't be a sequel to this rant. Good night to all of you.

hahahaha!!! WOW that's just hilarious...I was texting a friend of mine from my phone and answering lovewerks about sleeping and it jumbled the two um...I can't even imagine what texts people are getting from me!! I can't even find out because I finally broke down and it's being looked at!! I wont have it back for a couple days im sure

Got this lovely gem from a craigslist ad. I'm pretty annoyed, to be honest, considering I haven't broken any laws or anything. One has to make over $600 in this state to register as a business. I've made $10, minus $430 in expenses, puts me at around -$420.

Can't tell you how it is in NC, but in PA it's the buyer's responsibility to make sure tax is paid on private sales, not the seller.
