Rant Thread - What really grinds your gears?

i keep telling my students during quizzes (at the risk of sounding like a broken record) that they can use pencil but to use ballpen to finalize their answers. but nooo...someone just had to use pencil x_x
 
i wish people (online) would just tell me when i don't fit in, instead of making me feel left out instead. guess that happens whenever you try to make new friends. i just wish they'd be honest.

Also, why do you care if you fit in?
Screw what they think. Just be you. If they don't like it... THEY are the ones with a problem not you....

no, i don't think they're picking on me. i'm just sensitive, i suppose :)

i don't think i fit in because i could never relate to the stuff they talk about. it just goes over my head.

Well, if it's tech (or pretty much anything) related, and your interested in it... just had over to Google University... I have learned tons of stuff from Google...
you'll catch on... Just don't be afraid to ask questions... The only dumb questions are the ones you're afraid to ask ;)

+1 to asking questions. Not only do you then learn something, the person explaining it also improves (by explaining it). Win - Win.

My rant is that no one uses AIM anymore. All my goofy RL pals just use facebook messages, which are weak in comparison. ;)

Don't take the anonymity of the interwebz as an excuse to kick the dog. Remember there is someone on the other side and you have no need to act like a turd. Get a punching bag if that is what you need, or see a therapist.

Seeing a therapist is NOT something to be ashamed of. Being rude, mean, and unneccessarily a jerk IS something to be ashamed of.

$159 for an entire new headlight assembly when the only problem is damaged polycarbonate on the outside...not sold separately. :motz:

I swear they gouge you for light assemblies. That's why they are changed a few millimeters every year so they can't stockpile in junk yards.:rolleyes:
 
Of course, when I try to do homework from home, all the files need to be downloaded. Downloading .net over dial up? Not in this lifetime. >.>
