Root Redux battery life AMAZING!!!

Yesterday I reflashed ManU's 1.4 kernel, and besides the increase in USB transfer speeds (I think .35 kernels are faster than the newer ones on Gingerbread), I must admit that I've forgotten how much I, and my Desire, like it.

Great battery life, it wakes quickly even when underclocking. These kernels really are almost as good as having a second custom ROM flashed.

GSM Desire, Redux 1.2, S-off, ManU-1.4-GB-HAVS-AXI-128-CFS and Zeam Launcher.

I'm as obsessed music as I am with Android and the transfer speed is the decider.

Android is an operating system. It could turn out to be a flash in the pan. Music is a WAY OF LIFE!!!!

Is anyone else having issues when trying to open Settings>sound settings.

Whenever i open the sound settings i get a force close for some reason :(

It will be in green and may show up like...

"[WALLPAPER/SETT..GS]settings 2.3.3"

It wont be in alphabetical order necessarily so look at all the green ones

I begin to feel alone in using 2.0! But I didn't notice a big diff in battery, and find 2 a little snappier.

I'm trying my favourite Oxygen kernel. it's really very, very close to topping my list.

for those wanting to try a kernel not mentioned here before, this one is pretty impressive. I'm using the CFS couttstech 925mV and it's pretty quick. worth checking out I think.

reflash rom?

I'm not quite ready to start tweaking that sort of thing, but I found a 875 couttech kernel as well. I really like the Redux one, but it can be a little laggy, so using the new couttech now, will report findings.

Oh and I'm running Ubuntu on my pc, USB transfer speeds are normal again.
