Root [Revised] Rooting Gingerbread 2.3.5 Dummies Guide

ok just to make sure, you are in the bootloader right? it should scan and then say "no image or wrong image" if it did not find the file. this is what you see, correct?

ok so i'm thinking then that something might be wrong with the card. so lets back up everything to the pc and then reformat the card in your phone. on your phone go to settings>storage>and erase sd card. this will reformat the card. now move the PC36IMG file back to the card. do not add your cards content just yet.

Just follow those instructions listed to stay on stock if you desire.
You can always flash a custom rom later but custom roms such as Mikg are sweeeeeterrr!!!
First things first..I want to use my phone on a different carrier.. with the same number I have that I am using if its possible.I don't want to add another line to it and spend over $100 or so.

Edit: I downloaded the file and now I am puzzled here..What do I have to do next..I don't see the su file.
