Worm, did you get that?
I have noticed this too and know of no fixAnyone having issue with the case blocking the proximity sensor? If so any solution?
Thanks!

just placed an order for my new tbolt and i'm struggling with making a decision on a case. how big of a deal is it that the ringke case covers the proximity sensor? and is this the sensor which shuts off the screen when you hold the phone up to your ear?
i really like what i've read in this thread. i have a touch of OCD and if my case has lint sticking to it all the time, well i just won't be happy with that.
think it'll be easy to fix/tweak the case on my own? or will rearth release an updated version in the near future?
if it's not an easy fix, are there any other cases you would recommend?
ps. please forgive the onslaught of newbie questions.
edit: just a few more questions, hah! are you guys only using the case, or are you getting the combo which comes with the plugs and the ringbo screen protector? wondering if the ringbo protector is any good or if i should just get a zagg?

The proximity sensor just controls the auto brightness as well as turning off the screen when its close to your ear. If you use BT or speakerphone and dont use auto brightness, youll never notice an issue. I didnt till yesterday. lol. I just cut a little bit away that was covering it and I havent seen a problem so far. It doesnt completely make it useless, but its like a 30% chance(because I have the semitransparent one) that itll work. Not a big deal for me personally, but it can be annoying.
I think I was the only one that got the plugs, but I love it and would have purchased them anyways. They fit PERFECT. Just put it on BEFORE you put the case on and its damn near seamless. I have Ghost Armor for my screen though. After seeing how well it kept my screen together when I dropped it, I wont go elsewhere.
Edit: You can use a dremel too, but I just used a knife and cut a cone shape out after marking it. Cause Im ghetto like that. lol
Do you have a pic of the phone in the case?
Specifically close-ups of where the edge of the case meets the screen on the top, bottom, and sides.
Thanks bro
j/k it's cool, I'll wait till mine shows up, said 3-5 days.i really appreciate the quick responses!
i'll have to take a hard look at seidio and otterbox because the proximity sensor issue would definitely bug the crap outta me, and i don't have a dremel. i'm too particular to go ghetto with a knife like you did, mclabia.
and thanks for the heads up on steinheil, ibrick.

wait a minute. i've circled in red what i think you're talking about. is that the cut-out you did? if so, that looks slick! i think i could manage that.

edit: ohhhh, okay gotcha. i think i could manage that. still gonna look at a seidio though. i looked into the otterbox but i don't like the fact that the screen protector is built-in.
aw man, it's too bad you have the surface and not the active. i'm really diggin the active. :/

I did a video review of this. Also Worm and Mclabia threw your names in the review
