Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

And you left out the 1 person who got cm working.

I didn't mean anything by it. Phenom is THE MAN when it comes to this project. but I feel like with those contributing they all together can get it to the next level.

Don't blame me. Blame the pain meds

I talked a little with the Triumph guys. They edited/created (not sure which) a camarahal library to allow the CM7 kernel to work with CM9 on that device. Now, I don't think it would be a direct drop in replacement, but they have heavily commented the camerahal library which someone who know what they're doing may be able to use to help us with ours. Have a look at the Triumph All thing root thread, WIP Camera CM9. In there should be the reference to the dev tree.

^This!

If I wanted to attempt porting CM10.1 to our device, where would I start reading up on this stuff being completely new to this?

Anyone else notice that some of the framework images throughout the rom are low quality/blurry? Especially some of the stausbar notification icons

For those having problems with the SD Card. I think it has to do with the partitions. My Elite took the partition away and formatted the whole drive as Fat32. Repartitioning it using linux has now made the SD Card readable.

Wifi didnt work and mostly ever app kept closing and stopping

Try doing an entirely clean wipe in CWM. Factory/data wipe, cache partition, dalvik cache, format system, data, and cache. Try all that and re flash, also you might want to verify a good download, check md5 sums.

check md5 sums.

I didn't see an md5 sum posted anywhere, but here's the one from my download which is working perfectly - 24A613C2F965981BE56777A5F1B82A69

I haven't had any reboots or app crashes or anything. If your download matches that then you should be in good shape.

Oh..... right, my mistake. I just assumed there was one but I never looked..

.... Here's what I got on both the GApps and the Rom

What phone was it that's most like this one again? Are there any CM9 builds very similar to this one as well? I'm gonna start looking for generic camera fixes and try them all. :D

I think I'm getting close.

First off, I would like to thank all who is involved in bringing CM9 to us.

I had issues with the sd saying that it was damaged. I resolved it by trying my wife's sd card (she has an HTC One V running ICS). It read fine on my Elite, so I put my sd in her phone and erased the card. Viola! It read in mine.

One thing I have noticed is that GPS apps don't seem to work..... Tried Waze, which I really like, and one called Scout.... Both load then shut down, anybody else seen this happen?

Thanks again for all the hard work.

So I found an experienced Cyanogenmod developer that can help with the camera and he said he's willing to help.. His name is G60madman and he needs to know if there is a Kernel Source and a Github he can take a look at. So can I have the links to those PM'd to me?

Ok that's it, too many awesome things happening. I'm tired of feeling powerless, if y'all don't see me much in the next week or so it's cause I'm going to try and scrounge up some cash for a laptop. Craigslist had then for under 300 all the time
