Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

There might be apps to format the sdcard. You could move important stuff to the internal memory, format it, then move it back.
 
I've only had 3 androids. 2 phones 1 shitty tablet. And between all 3 I had to have different SDcards cuz they all had different Android versions. Tablet had Honeycomb. Elite had GB. Current has ICS. And if I used the same SDCard in each one it always had to be formatted because it didn't recognize it.

It seems that since flashing the updated CM9 I no longer have root access,...Tried to use the "Poot" again but no luck,...I might add I followed the directions to the letter when flashing CM9, so I don't know what happened.
As soon as I find a job I'm gonna get another phone but until then this is all I have,

The phone still works so I guess I should feel lucky, but I sure would like to have root access again,...Any help would be appreciated Thanks for everyones hard work
 
Reboot to recovery. Wipe Cache, then go to Advanced and wipe Dalvik Cache then Fix Permissions. Hit back and reboot system. Then try to open the Superuser app, and make sure Superuser is enabled in the settings and that it prompts you with the option to grant root access and not automatically deny it.

Just wanted to say thanks. I really love the ROM and its definitely my default. I still can't believe my Elite is running ICS. Everything works awesome except whats already in the OP, and the new OC options just makes it all so much better. Your pretty freakin awesome :D
 
I just want to make a notice of something, it's my first time reading the past posts today after Phenomx has put up the new build. I'm noticing a lot of people have posted about having trouble with downloads.
I'm not trying to exercise any form of hierarchy here, but Phenom is currently the primary developer, so maybe if we can all look to each other for things that can be solved within the community (ie: uploading files to new locations for people) like seeking help from everyone else within the thread, whom things have worked for, then we can take some pressure off of the Dev whom is working behind the scenes and is clearly unable to answer everyone's questions.

... Just a suggestion, feel free to butcher me if I'm out of place :p

I think Clockwork allows you to repartition, but it probably adds a swap and sd-ext. I don't know if you can just have 1 fat32 partition.

I just got it downloaded, if you're hard up for time, I can upload an alternative location. I also am only on the phone however.
 
No worries man, I think it's working for the majority of us. Just a few here and there are having issues, we can always temporarily remedy those folks issues until you have the time to get to it.
