Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

I was getting unknown sender as well.
Other than that and a few random shut downs here and there, it's been pretty good.

Error retrieving information from server. Every time I try and use the play store

Edit:
Nevermind, just had to remove my account and sign back in.

Can someone please send me just the boot.img from the 4-13 build?

Got SD mounting

Try app2zip you can use it to create a flashable zip with apps you commonly reinstall after a fresh install. I used to do a bunch of apps but now I just do titanium backup and the pro key.

Thanks Mac, that would be a good remedy, I didn't think about just flashing them:rolleyes:
I just like to have some apps instantly installable so that I can perform basic stuff before having to did through the store again. Namely a new keyboard (stock one drives me mad) and titanium, but also something I can at least browse the content of my memory with.
So, it's all good phenom says he'll build one into the rom

You don't have to wipe data though DsyMnapTic.

I know but I'm OCD about flashing, lol :D I can't help but do a clean wipe every time, been doing it since I first started with the Huawei ascend a couple years ago :what:

Also by the way I've gone back to using ES File Explorer and I've got to say their new update is straight sexy! :D

@Ken, what did you end up doing? (Looks like it took all your battery to do it too).

i can only charge my phone at certain times thru the day.

what i did was change vold.fstab

the second entry /mnt/sdcard was set to an absolute mountpoint and i changed it to auto plus the two lines were put together so i *think* the system was reading it as one command, I seperated the two and allowed the sdcard to mount at the first available position. It shows up just fine now but its still a wip, my linux scripting skills aint what the used to be since i lost my laptop so i'm still cleaning it up. its kinda messy lol

right now its showing i have two sdcards mounted, i want to try to change it to where it actually is labeled something like 'internal' and 'external' or something like that.

and in other news
Project MIUI A1

Edit

Getting closer

If anyone is interested here is what I changed it to

dev_mount emmc /mnt/emmc 15 /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.2/mmc_host/mmc0

dev_mount sdcard /mnt/sdcard auto /devices/platform/msm_sdcc.4/mmc_host/mmc2

If you do this its HIGHLY recommended to download zarchiver from the play store. Extract the file from the cm9 zip, modify it, replace it and reflash. It may not be a good idea to change it on a working system. Also make sure you have backups.

Its located under system/etc

Dang. 10hrs with out a charge battery only drops to 15% for me. That's WAY better then other ROMs.
Thank you for all your hard work. :)

Then just check internal storage under the storage settings and that's it
So far, so good...thanks

Sounds CRAZY...
Crazy Question: Are you having Data issues after modifying the file?
Why I ask: I didn't have Data issues with this ROM, and after rebooting after modifying the file I stated having Data issues.

No, but I didnt just modify and reboot. I modified. Added it to the zip and reflashed

Plus fstab only controls partition mount points, it has nothing to do with data connectivity

... isn't that how the stock ROM battery life is? ... doesn't the stock ROM actually have a little bit better battery life than that? That's how it typically performs for me (the stock one).

For me stock only lasted 4hr with juice defender ultimate and on aggressive profile. With out juice defender it only lasted 3-2.5 hr.

Stock from lasted about 6 hours for me

For me stock only lasted 4hr with juice defender ultimate and on aggressive profile. With out juice defender it only lasted 3-2.5 hr.

That sounds like there's something seriously wrong with those devices, because unless you've got 3G and GPS on the whole time, there's no reason it should be draining that fast even on stock that I can tink of. On every Elite I've owned, stock gives me at least 12 hours without JuiceDefender. With, maybe 18. Any other ROM just increases the number from there, and on Sleipnir I regularly get 2 and a half days. And that's with occasionally using GPS and 3G to get somewhere, and Wifi is on regularly and using it for gaming, etc. Lol.

That being said, it's great that CM9 is giving you much better battery life than what you have had in the past, but still, that sounds like there's something wrong :P

How miui alpha going?

If you circled me on Google plus you would already know lol

All major stuff works, just need to fix data but I'm waiting to see when the camera gets fixed

But this isn't my thread so if you want to know more circle me on google plus.

If anyone would like to try it let know and I'll make a WIP thread

I apologize if this has already been stated--or is simply obvious--but after flashing CM9, am I able to restore my data from my latest Nandroid backup (just like when flashing other ROMs)? Thanks, and thanks to everyone who made CM9 possible. I'm very excited about giving it a try!
