Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

Seems solid so far besides the known issues. I did notice the base band(radio) doesn't show in the about phone section. Talk is working fine, GPS locks within 45 seconds to a minute . Mms send and receive is working well, voice is clear and solid. The device is still reporting 1x in about phone as well as the status bar but data speeds are consistent with the 3G I've experienced on this device. No issues installing from market or non market apps. Debugging bridge is working as well as mass storage. Sensors and touch points are good to go. I think its time to call this a beta. Well done.

I may have a work around for the base band info and for the 3G issue I might just make it show 3G all the time if I can't find a fix for it soon.

You could try asking g60madman how he gets the 3G and 1x thing to switch. I know it works on the CM ROMs he made for my Evo V.

After restoring my Harmonia backup for curiosity sake I used the voice dialer and said "open apns" which brings up the apn list for the device. There's no "Virgin" apn file...however evdo and mms were still working. I'm wondering if there definitely isn't something in the apn/apnconfig.xml also I know a lot of people say use the "cdma" profile in the hidden menu but with both Verizon and Sprint "CDMA Auto prl" was always the preferred choice. I'm new to VM so just throwing this out for everyone to chew on.

I just updated to the 5/7 build. Everything is working well, except now I can't seem to access my external SD card with ES File Explorer. It lists the same files under /sdcard and /emmc. Before I updated, /sdcard listed the contents of my internal sdcard and /emmc listed the contents of my external sdcard. How do I fix this?

Try /mnt/ and see if you can get it from there.

Even from /mnt/ both emmc and sdcard display the same files. This wasn't the case in the initial build.

*EDIT I installed Root Explorer rather than ES File Explorer and everything works just fine. This is a great build

Update the OP with directions for doing a clean wipe of everything? I always forget lol.
Just:

Cache
Data
Dalvik Cache
System

Right?

Just did this:
Wipe Data (This will NOT erase your sdcard)
Wipe data/factory reset
Select “wipe data/factory reset” > Select Yes
Wipe Cache
Select “wipe cache partition” > Select Yes
Format System
Select “mounts and storage
Select “format /system” > Select Yes
Format Cache
Select “mounts and storage”
Select “format /cache” > Select Yes
Format Data
Select “mounts and storage”
Select “format /data” > Select Yes
Wipe Dalvik
Select “advanced”
Select “Wipe Dalvik Cache” > Select Yes

And my soft keys aren't vibrating... Is there an option to turn this on somewhere or does that not work yet?

Awesome ROM so far.

Anyone else find that their widgets are too big? For instance instead of 4x1 for Tweetcaster it is trying to do 5x1 which is too wide for the screen?

Yeah, I have noticed that too. Some 4x4 fit, but others report that they are larger, like 5x5.
