Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

Anyone else find that their widgets are too big? For instance instead of 4x1 for Tweetcaster it is trying to do 5x1 which is too wide for the screen?

Use apex, nova or holo hd and adjust your screens grid size(I use 10x8 on all my devices) and change the to 0 margins vertical and horizontal. Most apps are using hdpi/xhdpi images and an xml that calls them for mdpi devices. Hope that helps.

CM9 Alpha on the Optimus Elite
UCCW widgets(3) all are 5x1
For your widgets to get the best possible fit use another launcher that allows grid and margin adjustments. The stock launcher doesn't allow that and will cause some widgets not to fit properly, especially on mdpi resolution devices.

phenomx4,

I haven't been around in a while, I've too busy with work. I just wanted to say great job getting CM9 going!

Have you been working on the Camera and NFC? Which source are you building with, Code Aurora? Do you have a github or other public site hosting the build files?

Keep up the good work.

My impatience got the best of me, and I installed the current version without camera support. I have to say it's outstanding. I had constant problems with instability with Sleipnir (random reboots), but so far this is rock solid. Boots up much faster. External SD is separate mounted drive rather than folder in internal sd. Really like it. Thanks so much for your great work.

It was this way in the stock ROMs too, the _externalSD was just a short cut. You could still get to the uSD through /mnt/

Once every few days my phone just shuts down without rebooting. I'll try to get a logcat next time but I think it clears out when the phone shuts down.

? i installed the twisted rom then added the 4 13 kernel ran awesome and my camera worked fine then i installed the newer kernel to the same rom and the camera could not connect i dont know much about all this so my ? is why would my camera work with the 4 13 on my 2.3.7 but not the newer kernel they both were designed for the cm9 update right

Did you flash the cm9 kernel on top of a gingerbread rom?

even when i flashed the newer kernel on top of the gingerbread rom i was able to run my benchmark at 1.8 and let it run 6 hours no problems or reboots just no camera

Just because you were fortunate enough not to have issues now doesn't mean there won't be any. This kernel is compiled from a completely different source for a completely different android version. Personally I'd be afraid of spontaneous combustion.
