Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

I have to agree. I flashed it today and will not be going back. This is solid. I don't really care about the camera and NFC since I barely use either one.

BTW, I actually often get a 3G icon to show up, of course 1x sometimes too.

Thanks phenomx4!

Might be a dumb question but when the 3g came up did you happen to get a logcat

Thanks to you, i was able to do this. Screenshot_2013-05-05-17-21-56.png

@phenom are you on an IRC channel or have you consulted any of the devs from andIRC or the like? There may be some help/knowledge there. I know jcase(if he's still around) was wicked good at these "problems".

When you get a 3G signal try to get a logcat.

In the hidden menu when I toggle from cdma auto or cdma to evdo only I immediately get a roaming indicator which I found interesting. So forcing "3G" doesn't happen.

First week since flashing

Bluetooth - Perfect
GPS - Perfect
Calling - Perfect
Texting - Perfect
Crashing - Nonexistent after the first day or so
Speed - Chrome will get laggy pretty fast, or if too many apps or open (Stock Browser WAY faster)

Excellent so far.

I love the rom, but I can't switch to it as my daily rom because apps force close all the time. It takes a while to load up apps compared to stock too. Hmmmm

I was getting the same thing & what worked for me was I stopped restoring data from recovery,...That stopped all the force close issues......."Just a thought"!!

I did that once too and that happened! It stunk. That's why I don't restore data when I flash this rom.

I didn't actually restore data. The problem is something else. It was just going slow and sluggish for some reason anyway... What governor/cpu settings do you use? I was using Smartassv2 at 345/1600 min/max. Maybe those settings have something to do with the lag.

Mine runs fairly smoothly and quick with smartassv2, 245/1209. I've set the max higher, but I personally wouldn't run it over ~1400 max.

Which apps are laggy for you? I haven't had that problem with any of the apps I've used so far.

The screenshots aren't loading, are you using Wi-Fi tether for root users? Also did you follow the instructions in the op?

What he said^

Also, what are you trying to tether to it? Laptop? Tablet? If tablet, What model and version of android? Some don't support ad-hoc connections. If that is the case, you can just use the FoxFi app on the Elite with the PdaNet app on the tablet with the bluetooth tethering feature. I think the FoxFi features were combined into the newer PdaNet+ app so you could use that also.
