Root [ROM][4.0.4][BETA] CM9 for Virgin Mobile and Sprint 10/3/2013

Just apps in general are laggy. At least that's what I experience

Never experienced that. I've often found it takes roms a little while to "settle" so to speak. Typically if I have bad behavior after a flash and installing all my apps etc I will reboot into recovery clear cache and dalvik again and fix permissions again. That usually sorts a lot of things out. (Plus manually restoring apps only and not data.)

What I've learned about the settling of roms is this:

If possible always to a full wipe before install. Reboot the phone one to two times and let the phone sit for a few minutes (like 5) before you really use it. This allows the rom to settle by creating any caches it may need to create...or whatever it is.

How similar to the Optimus V is the Elite? It seems that quite a few people went from the V to the Elite.

Just wondering...........saw that there is a Cold as Ice rom (CM9) for it. Is it possible to see the camera funtions on that rom and port them over for this one?

Just asking, do not know anything at all about rom programming like all of you smart folk. :D

Different processor/kernel I believe.

The v is armv6 and the elite is armv7. I don't think/know if it would work. But anything is possible ;)

Someone shoot me if I'm wrong. HOWEVER,

My understanding of this is that you need to check what the model number of both cameras is. If its the same and you can decompile the camera drivers or get the source, then you just have to make minor tweaks and recompile for arm7.

The Optimus V's camera is 3MP(if i remeber correctly) camera and the Optimus Elite's camera is 5MP. So I don't think so. Although I could be wrong.

ICS call libs different than gingerbread, the more I find and read leads me to believe its almost easier to write a driver from scratch than to back port.

Looks like nfc works. Still working on some bugs with it.

Very nice!

I've found some Bluetooth issues now with the CM9 when using it with a speaker
Will randomly shut off
Music will garble reallllly badly, then skip to the next song

I use bluetooth with my bluetooth/FM transmitter to play music wirelessly through car stereo, and I've had a couple longer trips (2hrs) so I've been using it a lot.

Just a couple bugs, nothing major.
