With the 09.17 build, I started getting the odd text messages from an unknown sender. Anyone else experiencing this? Thanks!

I think it's a CMAS alert. It may have been an amber alert because a girl was kidnapped and it was all over the news. For some reason the CMAS alerts just show up as gibberish.

New to the forum but I've been running this rom for a little while, a few things that I've noticed are: video player isn't able to play mp4 (this might be an android problem not rom), camera error "can't connect to the camera" if you go from a "camera using app" ex. take picture in instagram/snapchat then switch over to normal camera, and lastly instagram closes when trying to upload video, and will not recognize pre recorded videos for upload either
Other than that awesome rom, turned my oe into a monster:)

Thanks @phenomx4 and all involved, nice improvements and seems more stable. Been running it from late yesterday and all day today. Also tried doing the data restore from the August CM9 backup to this build, thanks to the @Artine post " [GUIDE] to Retaining Data After Flashing a New ROM ", saved much time of having to reinstall each app and logging into into each app again. One feature that seems to be missing, unless I'm the one totally missing it, is the navigation app from the VM stock ROM. Although the GPS receiver seems to turn on and all, no nav app and can't seem to find a decent replacement from the play store...any recomendations?

Im able to play mp4 files just fine and for the camera error you need to wait awhile for the camera to be released before using an other camera app (3 to 5) seconds and the instagram issue is already known.

If you flash black ice 2.2 over this u will loose the new options that Phenom made

If you flash the beta 2+ version you will lose the center clock option, battery options and the ability to add/remove items from the power menu. You will be able to change statusbar and notifications background transparencies via systemui preferences. Anymore questions regarding the mod please use my thread. Thanks in advance. :)

2 small things i've noticed is flash will not stay on during video recording and if you use snapchat video recording it will usually crash or just take a picture instead. this could be similar to the skype issue but I just wanted to place that up as well. Otherwise great work you're doing :)

How long into recording does the flash stay on and yeah it may be related to the Skype issue. Looking into it.

You can turn the flash on before recording but as soon as you start recording it goes back off. A minor issue but i came across it during a low light situation.
