Root [ROM][4.1.2]AWE Inspired Moonshine White/Ginger V2.9a Final[Works with stock device]

Copy that..... Well considering, it's already been stated that ZTEs build quality of phones is all over the board.....I guess that could mean it might be hardware related.
 
Just bootlooped my phone, from flashing rbs kernel, I'm guessing seems like everything was cool until then, So now my question is, does this Rom include a kernel? If not I'll have to flash to stock, luckily my recovery still works. Philz was acting all wonky and taking a long time to boot up.

This ROM includes the stock kernel

Yes kernel is included, i recommend cwm as i had personal issues with philz, as stated in previous post will be included in stock sideload instructions :D

Just remove the battery while plugged into the charger and replace it. Fixes the AWE charging issue immediately with no reboot required (assuming you kept the charger plugged in) .


In other news though, I need to get a log for it, but try not snoozing or turning off a set alarm. In other words let it continue to go off until it stops on its own. Then try unlocking the screen or opening various apps. The music you selected for the alarm should continue to play for a second or so then stop again. Ill be getting a log soon, just wanted to see if you could recreate the problem.
 
OK update, also plays the last 2 seconds of the alarm when I send a message, lock or unlock my phone, open most apps, etc.
I've done nothing different other than not turn off an alarm.
 
You know what? I've had video playback problems on this ROM as well. Every time I try to rewind any video it just freezes. One way I have had better luck is too use the Google photos app too watch videos but it still freezes slightly. That's the only issue I've had on this ROM since the first version.

You're a lucky one then. Cause whenever I want to go back on a video the image will freeze but I can still hear the audio, or the video will continue to play from where it was and have the audio of where I rewound it from. It's very annoying.
 
Yea I have that too but I think its related to the video drivers. We don't have that problem on cm11 with the updated drivers.
 
Hey everyone on this post (especially the dev if this ROM) I managed to port the kernel on AWEsome ROM v1.1 over to the KitKat AWE ROM. It took a lot of effort, time, force close fixes, and WiFi fixes but I managed to port it. If anyone's interested I'll post a link to the zips and tell you how to flash them. BTW how is development on aosp and cyanogenmod going. I'd really like to see how it looks if its even bootable yet.

Depends on what you call usable lol. For me yea. Most would say no. Cell radio only works on gsm ztes. We are cdma. Audio routing is borked. Other than that its stable.

cm11 work is paused right now cuz I guess I was thw only awe dev on the job

Ummm.....quite possible if I had any post Pentium II computer to use. (Yea I've compiled on a Pentium III before). But I don't have anything atm. If something comes up I'll release something that day
 
Well I downloaded the cm11 ROM. Seems to be pretty stable. Only bugs so far is the camera not working, audio jack not working, and one thing I think people would appreciate is the service being implemented into the cm11 ROM it just asks for a sim card. Otherwise its fine. I like it.
 
Well poo. I love this ROM. Just not being able to rewind in some videos are annoying cause I watch a lot of vids on my phone.

can we just pull them from cm or do they need to be compiled with rom??

Wouldnt a simple build.prop edit fix the sim card issue?

Well the ROM is made for gsm phones. Not CDMA phones. So I'd just disable the sim card thing but I don't think I'd fix the radio. But I could give it a go

No go. The radio is activated at first boot. This ROM is also built for gsm phones. No conversion avail at the moment. It could be built into the phone apk. So just some info.
 
I use this as my main ROM. Version two worked great, but two.one does not work correctly. Here is why: When I turn my Awe on it boots up fine and runs all the apps well, but the phone tells me "Unfortunately, System UI has stopped." I do not know if it is my device or the ROM itself. I tried to reset the phone and that did not work either. Really want the new version with all the great features, but it just does not work for me. Please Help...

Need more info, sound like conflicting files, did u clear cache's and format system before flash, any errors in recovery??
