Root [Rom][5-26-12]Broken Out Spectrum 3.0 w/ Blitzkrieg Kernel

Yes, you can use cpumaster or you can change it in the init.d scripts if you know how.
Also, I admit I am bad about not changing the version number lol.

gotcha this is all new to me, so im learing ( very quickly at that) a lot. Ill re download setcpu and play. I had downloaded it for some reason and found it of no use to my knowledge level and deleted it.

edit: I can do this in Rom Toolbox right? under performace using cpu sliders? Just slide the max to 1836MHz and make sure apply on boot is checked?

Yep!

I must thank you again michael. This rom and kernel you've put together is amazing man. many many thanks for this. As soon as I am able I'm going to send you some funds. I spend so much money on apps and what you've done here is far better than any app i've ever downloaded. To increase a phones antutu score by over 2000 is just stellar, wonderful, spectacular, incredible, tremendous, and mind blowing!

I've been running my phone at 1836mhz with no voltage increase, using the lagfree governor since this morning and have been outside all day working with my phone in my pocket. There has been no heat increase, my battery was at 91 percent when I came indoors for lunch just 15 minutes ago after running for 5 hours off the charger, and my phone has never run so good.

Just wow man. You have turned this phone into a monster!

looks like you have more worked to do michael. News is that the 2.3.6 update is now out. Which sucks because that means we must flash back to stock and then reroot and reinstall recovery and then reflash your updated rom if I'm not mistaken...not to mention resetup our phones!!! this never ends! :P

Of course I'm not going anywhere until you have a 2.3.6 build of this rom. Screw that update until then :P

Awesome build. I just installed 1.1 yesterday afternoon after dicking with CWM for a bit. seems to eat my battery...but runs smooth. I personally would like to have the LG keyboard back..... i reverted back to the oem rom while on the road. now i am downloading 1.2.....

we have an awesome hardware platform. I hope other developers get in on the spectrum boat.

All works well - 1.2.1 - cpumaster installed and up to 1836...
but any time I try to ANTUTU benchmark at this setting, in any governor setting, I get reboots.

Strange - benchmarking in Antutu is the only thing that forces the reboot. Will yank the battery and try again. Afraid to set cpumaster on "set on boot" at that speed if it is my CPU issue...

I wouldn't worry about the OTA update. There was no fundamental change from 2.3.5 to 2.3.6, other than to fix a Nexus bug. It looks like there's some changes to the LG-specific apps like camera and maybe the theme, but I'm probably not going to take the OTA on this one, unless I see reports there are some solid changes that trump BrokenOut's performance... which I doubt.

BTW, has anyone else noticed the screen response and freeze in apps is gone now with 1.2? It's odd (no complaints, though), but before, apps would get hung up and not read the input from the screen... that's not the case anymore (yet). Maybe a combination of new kernel and settings?

1.2.1 is quite nice. the faster charge is amazing. boots quick. super responsive. super awesome. :D

anyone know how I might be able to get the oem LG keyboard back?

anyone know how I might be able to get the oem LG keyboard back?

+1 on that... could someone make a flashable zip with the lg keyboard... and maybe even the lg home and widgets... id like to update my dad to this but he wouldnt know what to do without the stock launcher

ive tried copying the files into system/app and no luck... im thinking it may be a permissions issue

Just got 1.1 yesterday but I'm going to update, looks like some nice improvements. My only concern is will the OC and fast charging cause any damage to my phone, it gets pretty hot when it is charging and under load on the stock ROM. I noticed it uses 1A charger and that already seems like a massive amount of current for a phone.

Edit: 1.2 is working very well no lag, 200 point boost without an overclock.

anyone notice the screen wont turn off by itself? the screen dims like its supposed to.. and instead of turning off itll popup at the bottom and say "setcpu has been granted superuser permissions" then the screen will get brighter.. like i touched it

Not I. Try wiping dalvik cache and see if your issue is resolved. I wipe dalvik and cache before new flashes.

I noticed graphics are faster with 1.2.. Very cool.

I just installed v1.2.1 and phone is noticeably faster, great job Mitch.
Only problem when I go into antutu and start test phone will automatically restart. any ideas what is wrong. I did a restart and a battery pull and got the same results.

Resolved went into terminal emulator and enabled zram, running antutu test now.
when from 6423 running bo v1.1 and popcorn kernel to 6969 running bo v 1.2.1 and blitzberg kernel at 1512 gpu frec.
After running this one time,I installed cpumaster an reset cpu to 1620 and tried antutu test agian and it went back to reboot when I start to test.
I don't know what I am doing wrong.

Not all cpus are the same actually. One person may be able to run at 1836 and another can barely go over 1600 without issues. In theroy they are all the same, but it practice it's just not the case. You may have a cpu that just isn't able to overclock much. It happens.

I have a droid charge as well and when I was on the forums over there I discussed this topic with people who have the same experience. I could easily overclock my charge from 1000mhz to 1300 with no voltage increase. Other had to increase voltage to get there. Others couldn't get there no matter what. Some could get over 1400 with no problems. You just never know what the max is. There are so many variables at play. There could be an app you are using thats causing it. It could be a certain configuration you have. It could be that you need to reflash the rom. It could be that you're just stuck at 1500. :/

You could always send the phone back and get a refurbished one :D

i am now in love with my phone... been running at 1.8ghz and no more battery issues... 1.2 is perfect...

now im waiting to see what ics has in store for us... im starting to miss aokp

IMU , the update they are talking about is the same one I published a few weeks back, but I guess they brought it out of beta status. I have a feeling Michael is already well on his way to de-odexing the update and seeing what he can incorporate into his rom.

thank you. but it always fails to install... anyone else try it?

sitting on nolag@1836mhz been zero issues. antutu - 7398

You don't install the LG system apps. You push them to the /system/app directory and reboot your phone to get them to work.

I can tell you that while I don't have reboots, my phone can only top out at 1674. Anything past that and I start getting lag like crazy.

I just flashed the 1.2.1 rom about an hour ago and i'm having issues with it. Had two random reboots and my cpu overclock isn't staying but keeps setting itself back to default and one time even went down to 1200mhz. Not sure whats going on but i ran 1.2 all day and it ran perfect. I may flash back to 1.2

Any ideas michael? And are you noticing any stability issues with 1.2.1? Maybe I need to reflash it. Also my battery seems to be draining faster with 1.2.1. I just thought I would give some feedback.
