Root [Rom][5-26-12]Broken Out Spectrum 3.0 w/ Blitzkrieg Kernel

I just flashed the 1.2.1 rom about an hour ago and i'm having issues with it. Had two random reboots and my cpu overclock isn't staying but keeps setting itself back to default and one time even went down to 1200mhz. Not sure whats going on but i ran 1.2 all day and it ran perfect. I may flash back to 1.2

Any ideas michael? And are you noticing any stability issues with 1.2.1? Maybe I need to reflash it. Also my battery seems to be draining faster with 1.2.1. I just thought I would give some feedback.

May try to redownload, rewipe even data, and flash again.

I used Antutu Cpu master and had to "disable Perflock" to get it to stay overclocked.

thanks for the advice guys. I'm going to run 1.2.1 all day today and see how it goes. since i ran 1.2 all day yesterday so i can compare them.

As far as the cpu goes I froze rom toolbox pro and havent' had the cpu restore to it's default speed since. I'm not sure whats going on with that app, but it's always ran perfect for me and lately since the last few updates something isn't working right. I'm using antutu's cpu app only now and it seems to be sticking.

I've been on it since last night, noticing the same thing i have the extended batter and usually it takes a good 3 hours for it to move off 100%. I took it off the charger a little over an hour ago and its already at 93%? Any ideas?
I dont use juice defender never needed to with extended battery i usually get a good 18-24 hours with moderate use.

I got a 7303 in antutu! but my sd read write speeds are slower than everyone's I see. Could that be because I have a 32GB sd card? I also own a driod charge and that came with a 32GB card so I swapped it with my spectrums default 16GB.

I've tried different cache settings and the higher I go the worse it gets and 128KB seems to be the fastest for me.

Anyone have any ideas or suggestions.

well now the bad news....I'm getting constant reboots with this 1.2.1 version of the rom. I didn't get any yesterday with 1.2 running at 1.8ghz. then I flashed 1.2.1 around 11:30pm last night.
This version was running good at first but has progressively got worse through out the day even though this morning I decided to wipe data and reflash it. My cousin is also having this issue. And this is on two separate downloads. his is even worse than mine is as far as rebooting. He has to underclock his phone to get antutu to run through completely.

Have you not had any reboots michael? what about anyone else? no one here is having issues with reboots on the latest updated rom. Mine seems to run ok when I'm not overclocked but this is odd because I ran at the max overclock for 15hours on version 1.2 without one reboot. I'm trying to sort out what could be the problem here but I'm at a loss. I would love to hear back from others and see how 1.2.1 is running for them because it's just not working right for me nor my cousin.

and the battery is definitely not as good. I'm going to revert back to 1.2 and update the thread after I put it through some test.

Ive been runjing it since last night. Havent had any random reboots. Battery drains a lil faster but im running it at 1.8 all the time.

MT any chance of pushin the oc a lil higher down the road in your builds?

I have been using the v1.2.1 all day no reboots but I haven't overclocked any. I noticed a little more battery drain but with the better performce I would expect that. I still can get 8 hrs use on the phone with moderate use. The only issue I have had with my phone is I can't freeze music lilac, if I do my phone will start lagging real bad after about 24 to 48 hrs. and if I un-freeze it and reboot I will get a notification that my memory is full. I have to reinstall a nandroid backup to fix it.

update. I'm thinking the issue is rom toolbox pro. I froze it and everything related to it and ran antutu 3 times and I didn't get any crashes. one time I ran it with the stock cpu settings and then 2 times I ran it with the max settings and the governor set to performance. I don't know for sure yet but I'm still experimenting to see what the issue may be.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

[update]

Ran antutu 2 more times with max cpu clocks and governor set to performance and no crashes. Got around 7200 on both test.

Glad I didn't revert back to 1.2 yet :P

Edit : NM, someone was playing with my cables and had it in the wrong port.

just giving feedback neph. there may be others out there having the same issues and my post may help them resolve it. not everyone is as smart as you.

and it's not just me but freezing rom toolbox has also stopped my cousins reboots.

Sorry to neph I assumed wrongly.

Umm... WTF mate? My original question was about ADB at boot, and I fixed it on my end, so I therefore edited my post. It had nothing to do with your post or Rom Toolbox.

I went back to stock after initial release but re-rooted last night to run latest rom. Battery drain is noticeably faster but so is the ui. No reboots/no rom toolbox either. Not related but people are complaining about voice quality during calls.

I really need some advice, or help, or suggestions of some sort guys. I'm dying here and I'm at a loss as what to do. I've done everything i can think of. My cpu changes frenquency all by itself constantly. everytime I overclock it after a few seconds it reverts back to whatever it wants to. Sometimes 1512, sometimes 1200, sometimes even 1000. It's not crashing though.

I actually had it working for a while after I brought this issue up yesterday and then stupid me had to go to the market and try out some different cpu apps and after I downloaded cputuner it hasn't been the same since. I've tried setting profiles, tried the disable perflock, tried setting at 1.8ghz with the performance governor, tried a bunch of different apps made for overclocking to see if any one could maybe get it to stick by using profiles, tried setting my cpu to 1.8ghz and then froze my overclock tool, and ultimately 2am this morning I wipe data/factory reset in recovery and flashed 1.2

and it's still doing it. Does anyone have any thoughts on this. I would really love to know the solution to this mystery.

If i understood correctly, i believe the only chagne from 1.2 to 1.2.1 was he forgot to add the script for Zram.

I am running 1.2.1 with Rom Toolbox free with no issues at all. I am overclocked to 1.8GHz. I do agree that battery drain has increased, but so has performance. Altough it seems as though my idle ( screen off data and wifi off) battery drain has increased too. I feel the extra performace is a fair trade off though, rarely do i ever have to depend on being able to get more than 8-10 hours from a charge ( easy with my typically light use). Also i have never had a random reboot since i purchased the phone.

If you are watching the CPU speed it will constantly change. The governor ramps your CPU up and down. It will juice it up to 1.8 in heavy use, and slow it down when at idle.

I'm not that big of a noob michael lol

no it's changing it for real. I know that it varies on it's own. Thats why I also stated in my post that it does it when I have it set to performance. Because it doesnt change on performance but stays on your max setting. But trust me on this when I say it's changing the max frequency.

I've even had it set at 1836 with the performance gov and ran antutu and watched it revert back to 1512 while running the cpu benchmarks.

I have not had any problems with reboots but I have had it shut off while I charged it over night. I had to use the volume and power button combo to get it to turn back on. It has happened twice, once on 1.0 and again on 1.2.1. Both times the battery was 100% charged once I had back up and running.

Has anyone else had this happen?

Were you plugged in at the same time? Mine had done it once but I was plugged into the laptop at the same time. I didn't think anything of it because my phone has always acted sketchy when plugged into my laptop (won't unlock always, touchscreen wigs out, etc... it is a factory reman though so I just work around it lol)

The only reboot I've had was while trying to remove 3 apps with rtb. The problem was rtb sending a fatal java error, not the rom.

My scores on antutu are pretty high... 7300 or so. Not bad when tablets get that kind of score.

Well I just had a successful run with antutu while unplugged and it never reverted back.maybe that's the problem.I have to go out for the day but will be on later.thanks for your help
