Root [Rom][5-26-12]Broken Out Spectrum 3.0 w/ Blitzkrieg Kernel

Agreed. On mine gmaps was downloaded from the market. Im not sure how to look at the permissions. Actually I don't get a fc at all. the entire system simply reboots.

Well now this program is fc and gettinga lot of rebooted. Here is screen shot of error. Maybe this helps. uploadfromtaptalk1339743014987.jpg

Wipe the cache and data of the app, that should stop the problem.

@ MT - have you considered an updated BusyBox? BO has 1.16, but 1.20 is out. I updated it and am going to test some apps and see if I still get reboots. Some of the updates could have fixed the problem.

The newest busybox version crashes on my phone. I tried it the day it was released and a week later. Does not even install. I need to reflash BO this weekend.

Found the same...less reboots now. Reflashed BO 3.0. This time I did NOT update busybox this install. Anything on romtoolbox other than sd boost causes reboots. Tried it and no-frills CPU controller to overclock and get reboots when trying to run Antutu.

On my phone it runs great most of the time, and then starts rebooting consistently. I've only noticed this activity because the phone starts to get hot in my pocket.

Usually I just catch it after one of the reboots and power off quickly. Wait until the phone cools, and then restart.

Sometimes after the power off it goes back to working normally, but on others it just resumes the reboot cycle.

I haven't been able to associate the reboot cycle to any particular application running prior to the start of the cycle.

You should be able to restore apps from RTB, but you should avoid restoring the app data. For whatever reason, RTB corrupts the data on this phone, or the phone can't properly re-apply the data to the app and it wigs out the OS.

Busbox 1.20.0 works but 1.20.1 won't install tho.
I noticed that too. I installed 1.20.0 and haven't had the reboot problems from ADW that I had before. Judging on the updates from the version I was on, I think I can see why. There are some scripting and communication updates.

Cant figure out how to get logcat to write to a file. Can produce it on screen but it just keeps going non-stop.
logcat [-f] logs no default.
logcat -f<xxx> wont work. give sytnax error newline unexpected.
logcat [-f<xxx>] cannot open xxx: no such file.

I'm probably missing something very apparent, I'm not very familiar with the terminal, paths, or file arch though.

It's much easier than that. There are apps in the market that can run logcats. There's one (I forgot the name) that does background logging... That's the one you want. It will log until a reboot and then start a new file when rebooted... Makes it easy to find the faulty operation.

Oh no, sorry, it's this one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=info.kyorohiro.helloworld.logcat

You can set it to log in the background and start on boot. After you get a good log, delete the app, because it will continue to log.

I'd also recommend you to guys update your BusyBox. I haven't had any reboots or glitches since I did... Even with the troublemaker ADW.

The one I used appended to the same log on reboot, allows you to manually stop and start a new log. Would be nice if it just made another, or the one you said allowed you to stop it manually. I've never messed with busy box, saw it in market, but only a latest update thing. Will look into it tomorrow.

I was getting Way too many reboots so had to go back to stock for a bit. Like it would boot and just as I unlocked screen it would reboot. Drove me crazy! I may try BO again this weekend. Thanks for the tips!

Yea, you're going to have to a root-cause app analysis on that one, because most of us aren't having that issue. There's a chance, which I've encountered on other phones, when an app goes wonky or user data gets corrupted and the only cure is a wipe and reflash.

There's a chance, too, that the 'Status Bar' app is your culprit. I was getting an inordinate amount of reboots on previous builds from that stupid app. Finally after wiping data, fixing permissions and zipaligning, the reboots stopped. Here's how to tell if that app is at fault: Does the phone reboot quickly or does it go to the LG and then Xperia splash screens? If it reboots quickly, that app is your culprit. If not, there's another app that's messing with the OS.

It always shows LG splash and Experia on reboot and reboots random really, just seems as gmaps and nav really kick it in, it happens at other times, just most effectively then. Today it crashed taking a picture. I also noticed on the crashes it usually replays last msg and missed call and suffers from minimal data loss, of course.

Full reboot here as well. When I do a reflash on BO it pretty stable first day. More I use it the more unstable it becomes...look forward to working on it when I get a bit of time. Really like BO. just need it to be stable.

Anyone else experiencing that house/signal icon turning on randomly in the notification bar? It's freaking me out! There isn't a setting to be found for it. I think someone is stealing my info from me... :-\

Yes I have gotten that as well and no clue as to what it is or means!

In my experience, the house/signal icon is when you are connected to a signal booster or whatever they're called. My parents have one and when I go over to their house, that icon always turns on.

That actually makes since, as I have never seen that icon before and I'm visiting my parents who have a sigal booster as well. Thanks for the heads up.!
