Root [ROM][ACS] GB UNleashed 2point3 [GBU-3/20/11] " KING STYLE "

Are you still running this ROM? What kernel are you having success with?

I downloaded Kings RC2... or at least I thought I did... phone mod says kings Unleashed Gingerbread R1. I was under the impression the link to RC2 would yeild RC2?!?! Anyone (Frenchy) wanna provide me with a link to the latest version of Kings... Which is excellent. The only issue I had was leaving WiMax on for any real length of time resets the phone...? Anyone else with this issue? I have no other issues With the Rom thus far.

Flashed at about 2 this afternoon and 6 hours later, It's now my main rom, nandroid once I know I'm running the latest verison.

Here you go.

Is it safe to flash this over a CM nightly that I'm running? I would wipe cache and dalvik of course, but it should be ok to do without a full data wipe right? And then also should be ok to flash another nightly over it again if I want to?

I personally recommend doing a full wipe whenever coming from another ROM, every time. If you were updating an existing ROM, flashing over is okay (if Dev says it is) but otherwise I would wipe.

Its technically a revamped cm7 but I would wipe.

Frenchy...playing with kernels as we type

Netarchy 4.3.2 is out...massive screen tearing

I tried this ROM out today, I love it and if i could just get the VVM to work it would be my daily driver. I tried all of the solutions in the thread and for the life of me can not get passed the Error V30 message. That's a deal breaker for me.

The GPS never worked for me. I'll wait till they fix this problem.

Mine didn't work at first either but I did the roll back to sense, ##GPSCLRX#, let it find as many satts as it could, then restore to this rom and it's working fine. I don't understand why but evidently every time you flash to an aosp rom you have to do that to get the gps to initialize...

Thanks bro....! Give'n it a try now...

***edit***
Frenchy... do me a favor, please check your version # as mine still says RC1... I guess it doesn't matter, I'm diggin it. I feel its a great take on CM7. It quick, stable and as you put it earlier... Butter!

Honestly I gave up on trying to get VVM to work... I got myself some google voice and never looked back. It's virtually the same thing. The only difference is it won't charge you for transcribed messages. Never a feature I thought was all that great.. esspecially with longer messages. Give it a try.

Mine didn't work at first....it just started working. Using g voice now tho

This ROM is great and I now have everything working, including Sprint VVM, which was almost a deal breaker (GV just doesn't do it for me for a couple reasons).

Anyway, you can provision VVM by sending a blank voice mail to activate@vvm.sprint.com. [Open Sprint VVM > Menu > Compose > Record for about 10 seconds and hit send.]

Be sure to change your voice mail carrier to 'My Carrier' in Settings > Call Settings > Voicemail Settings.

I may have to try this rom again. I left after a few minutes due to unrelated 3G issues and had to have the epst to work on that issue. Sounds like the best of both worlds. Kings roms are my favorites plus its gingerbread. Im pretty stoked on it! Trying tonight!

I got my vvm to work on destroyer by installing the apk restoring data from tib and provisioning as the czar described. Hope it works on this one too. I didnt care for GV because i always got the voicemail, a text, and an email, that was annoying. You can probably turn it off but im old fashioned and like to use vvm anyhow.

for the life of me I can't figure out how to stop google voice. every time I think I have it still goes to voice when someone calls me.

I also think I am going back to the kernel he packaged in it.... savage 1.6 works kinda ok...have had some screen freezes ect...and had some weird bluetooth problem where my controls for skipping tracks initiated deletes on the phone

savage 1.6 appears to have great battery life but if the screen freezes continue it is no bueno for me..i'm add and I need this phone to be all over the place like me ...and with a quickness :P

I have a few others I will try but to give a proper chance I will stick with savage 1.6 for 24 hours

Hey Frenchy...there are built in cpu settings in the menu.cyanogen settings.performance

I am using that right now overclocked to 1032 underclocked to 445 ...

may play with that a bit and drop my max to around 700 just to see how much battery it will save and see what kind of performance I get out of it.

Ugh, lol i had to stop gv once. I first called the *32 (its been a while but its *3 something), it beeps like 3 times and should stop going to gv. I also went onto my gv and changed the settings to deactivate. You do both of those things?

EDIT: Lol I lied, it did have a 3 but its *38 apparently. Its different for all carriers, maybe vzw was *32 oh well.

Oic.....Getting familiar w/ AOSP is going to take some getting used to. Please post your results on what kind of performance/battery you get.

How to Turn Off Call Forwarding | eHow.com

Pick up your phone and dial *73 or *720 on your Sprint PCS phone

This is the method I used to turn off GV, however my de-activate number was *38. It seems like the number varies per account.

OK sorry Mr. ED but i was right the first time, *38 (mostly right, i said *3 something lol)...too many numbers to dial

Guess I should have refreshed, thanks czar. *73 is call forwarding, *38 is conditional call forwarding. I imagine *73 would also do the trick but lets go with *38 just to be safe.

Well conditional says like ok "condition" phone not answered, send to this number (your gv number). Call forwarding just sends all calls to a number if you disable call forwarding you likely disable conditional call forwarding but i havent actually tried it.

ok found it ...i think....lol... click on settings top right of browser in google voice (from computer) and deactivate the phone number
*38 on the phone and then it should be off
