Root [ROM][ACS] GB UNleashed 2point3 [GBU-3/20/11] " KING STYLE "

:DHey Guys/Gals

Just flashed, data cache, dalvik caulkins format all. Clean install of ROM. But I can't find the market app to get TB pro or My backup pro to restore apps. Any ideas? it's usually with the rest of the installed apps on most ROMS.

PS Thanks Mr Ed your info on the data mods have been invaluable to me!

Nevermind I found TB in the apps drawer...damn it!
 
OK, so i think i got VVM working. My wife inst around for me to use her phone to try and leave an actual VM so I sent one to myself and it came through.

Anyone else noticing extremely fast battery consumption? I'm at half a day (less than 4 hours) with light use and already hit the 50% mark. I have GPS on along with Wi-fi (still very spotty on following along with my location) I guess i'll try turning those off and see if i can do better battery wise

Still weird though...you didnt have market? On AOSP you usually have to download gapps separately and flash separately but i think he cooked it into the hmdi stuff, or at least thats what i think i read...either way it should have been there. Oh well at least it comes with Tib installed.

Thanks I forgot about the gapps thing! I had downloaded gapps for cm7 about two weeks ago will that work or is there a ROM specific gapps for Kings!

yeah he has a gapps file in the thread. Im not sure if you can flash cm7 gapps or not and have it all work properly. Try it and see just nandroid first. I would ultimately use his files though since they are likely themed to go with his rom...

Try different soap kernels. I haven't settled on one yetbut I will let everyone know. I am seeing good results with scaling back the processor speed tho

Typically that means your SD card is full

I'm not to familiar with the AOSP kernels, aside from trying out CM6 back in the day, the last 2 days are about the extent that I have had with them. I had been following your comments on the savage kernel, scaling back might be an option also. I will try that a bit.
 
@Those using Google Voice

Is there any way to play voice mails over bluetooth? I know it's not always necessary to listen to them when they are transcribed, but when they don't come across clearly I have to listen to the actual message. I've searched and searched and it appears that GV doesn't support vm's over bluetooth (similar to Sprint vm prior to the upgrade), but is there any work around? I like GV better because I can keep all my vm's when flashing different ROM's, but would love to be able to play vm's over bluetooth.

Yes. Menu.setting.cyanogen settings.interface.notification power widget.



Ok so savage kernel is ok.. battery is much better but I think that is from underclocking. This rom is so snappy that ibdnt even notice its underclocked.



My suggestion for now...stick with included kernel and underclock with smartass governor
 
gonna have to try those settings when i get my new refurbished evo. i tried it right before my phone crapped out and i loved it. you are right, it is very zippy as with all of kings roms that i tried out.

What frequency are you under-clocked to?
EDIT: There doesn't seem to be a smartass governor with the stock kernel.
 
Like it so far. Is there not a way to get back to the standard 5-page desktop? Going from my standard app/widget/etc... layout is going to be tricky.

Another thing, I can't figure out how to link contacts between google and facebook. I've got two for each perspective contact but haven't been able to link them. Any ideas?

There's an option to increase the number of pages in preferences>dock settings I believe....I'm using a different launcher so I'm can't remember off hand if that's where it is.
 
Anyone have a suggestion for a sense style clock? Mainly, I found it really convenient to be able to tap the clock and have your alarm, stopwatch, and countdown alarm right there on the homescreen.

That's what I thought. But when I check with three seperate programs they all show the card about half way full. It's a 16GB sandisk and I think the most current was about 7 or 8 gb left (empty). I did clear out the downloads page because I had tried to reload the download after it stopped. Oh yes I couldn't get my wireless tether fom the market or the built in hotspot to work. Every time I activated wireless tether and the built in hotspot said some sort of error. Anyone else have this issue? I had to flash back to Warm Z so I get the wi fi tether working again. I needed it to update a program on the xbox. :D

definitely play around at menu.preferences...there are a ton of options for launcher pro. linking contacts is one of a few absolutely wonderful features of HTC sense...I don't believe you can do it in aosp but someone correct me if I am wrong

ok on the sd card..back up everything to your pc...format card with easus (you on windows?) kill any ext partitions that you may have ie make the 16gb or whatever card as close to full capacity as you can. You can't do this with windows...you will have to use easus partition

put in phone and format the card via the phone
put everything back on it


now, both of you


download to a PC

format all
gapps
rom
aman ra if you are not already using it (no clockwork)

transfer from pc to your sd card.

rename aman ra to pc36img and flash it from hboot
reboot
reboot again into recovery
flash wipe all/format all zip
now wipe data, system, cache, dalvik cache manually with aman ra
flash format all zip
flash rom
flash gapps
reboot

it sounds like your install is corrupted in some form or fashion ....those steps should fix it
 
You can link contact. Just make sure Facebook is set to sync contacts then go to your contacts click on the person. Hit menu. When you are on their profile and click join then select the fb contact you want to join with.
