Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

In version 0.6.15.1, I have been experiencing some random reboots due to turning Wi-Fi on. Is this a known issue?
 
Upgraded yesterday from 6.14 to 6.15. Battery wasnt great on 6.14 but I am getting 3.5 hours of battery life from fully charged batteries now. I have two and have gone thru both since 8:00 am (3:30 now EST). No calls and Wifi and BT are off. I killed all unneccessary programs. Was hoping to get most of the way thru the day on a battery.

Anyone else having a similar issue and a clue what is causing it?

i havent run this in awhile but that battery life is crazy low, you can have wakelock issues, which causes the phone to never deep sleep

besides wifi and bt causeing it, cause i see u say u have them off

email and internet apps can sometimes cause them as well, facebook also is always a culprit on my phone

theres a program betterbatterystats that will show whats keeping your phone awake

also, if you have JD defender or anything like that or an task killer, remove them restart and see if its still happening

that is very odd..thats even worst then stock rom xD but theres something thats causing ur phone not going into deep sleep. i nvr had an issue with this rom :) longest i ever had was 49 hours on this fully charged. it was great. great battery life. get cpu spy n see if ur phone is going into deep sleep.
 
Is anyone else having problems with flickering while using the new apollo music player on v0.6.15? Other than that the rom runs perfectly fine!

And the automatic backlight adjustments work now! Yayayayay :D
 
I'm having an issue with Google Play Store. I tried to download a couple free themes, and when I hit the install button I got "Error processing purchase DF-BPA-09" I've already cleared data, force stopped, and re-flashed gapps and still having this issue. Any ideas?

ive seen a few posts about google errors and some seem to be on googles end, but just to be sure, did u flash the correct ICS gapps and not the gingerbread one?

Did you clear data for "Google Services Framework"? Because that's the one you have to clear in order to get it working again.
 
yea i couldnt remember the name of the other thing that needs to be wiped also, so i wasent gonna take a guess lol but jtaker got it

I've seen Chrome Beta crash a whole lot more often than usual since the 0.6.15.0 update. Scrolling sometimes turns into some weird glitchy-like mess, and eventually it crashes. I haven't tested other live wallpapers, but my live wallpaper will disappear and the background will be black after Chrome crashes.

I honestly don't know if this is something to do with some recent Chrome Beta updates or if it's really from the update to 0.6.15.0.

I have tried changing governor settings and to no avail, it makes it worse. This is getting very frustrating. Does anyone have any suggestions?? I will put my phone in the leather case and have it less than a foot from my bt and it seems to get worse, cutting in and out, Ill take it out of the case and it will play fine for a few minutes, then all of a sudden it cuts in and out. It also keeps disconnecting, sometimes when the bt is just several feet from the phone. Im about ready to throw this thing, its making me really upset. Does anyone else have these issues and can shed some light on this subject?? It cant be the bt because it works flawlessly on my tablet. Could it be the rom?? I had these problems on CM9 .14.0, tonight I updated to .15.1 and still Im getting the same problems. PLEASE HELP!!!!

Were you having this problem on build before 0.6.14.0? Or was it a new issue?
 
Ive been having this problem almost a month now. Just within this month, I have used my bt heavily everyday. Currently, I switch frequently between CM9 and CM7 and I have the same problems with CM7 (whyzors build). About 6 months ago, I would use a radio app (tune in radio) at work, and I dont remember which rom I was on back then (I think maybe stock), but very rarely would it cut in and out. Now when I use tune in radio, it cuts in and out, just like when Im on the phone. Last night, I did a factory reset and installed CM9 (.15.1) without most of my apps (thinking maybe a app might be causing this problem) and its already cut out a couple different times but not as bad, although I have only been using this for about a half hour.

Does anyone know where I can get the stock rom and market file so I can try changing to stock and see if it still happens. Meanwhile, I will keep using my phone today with bt to see how much it cuts in and out. Hopefully we your guys help, we can narrow this down to whats causing this. Thanks for the feedback.

Try clean flash of 0.6.12.0 or earlier and see if that makes a difference.

Edit: Also as you were thinking, try going back to stock and see if that makes a difference. Use b_randon14's flashable stock files here:

Try the non-deodex'ed version to go all the way back to stock like out of the box.
 
Mantera, I was wondering if the new Linaro build optimizations that were recently added to CM9 would be possible to be ported over to this ROM.

Here's more stuff I found out with Chrome beta:
I rolled back the phone to a 0.6.14.0 backup and updated Chrome. It didn't take long for the issues to arise again. The browser just stops responding and it crashes, taking along with it Double Twist music player, MIUI charge bar, and the live wallpaper. So my assumption is that Chrome has been more or less broken and we'll just have to wait until another update appears.

This IS cm9 so those are in there. However, I only use the stock toolchains that are included in cm9 (the highest is gcc 4.4.3). I'm paranoid; for the most part, I like to make sure that whatever tools I use are "approved" tools for less chance of issues arising from using non-stock tools.
