Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Any chance we'll be seeing more governors on new builds? I was using smoothass back on CM7/MIUI and it was silky smooth, but none of the governors available on CM9 are quite as good. It seems whenever I wake my phone out of deep sleep, sometimes the clock speed doesn't ramp up quickly enough and it basically just hangs for a minute or two until it's caught up.

Yeah, I can add that in the future. It's not in there right now because I don't use it; I just prefer not to have something in there if no one is going to use it. But adding it should be pretty easy.
 
Hey everyone,

My phone took a crapper so I ended up getting it replaced and went with the Evo V. I'll post up a final build this weekend with what I got so far but I'm disappointed to say that it will probably not include a camera fix unless someone else who still has an MT fixes it in the meantime.

I'll still check back on the forum from time to time in case there are any questions.

Thanks Mantera for all the work and everything you've done for the triumph community. You've been a huge part in the development for this devise and your work speaks for itself. Best wishes with future devises, development, and everything.
 
I was afraid of this, but sadly I feel that it was inevitable. This is a huge setback for this phone and this community. In my opinion, nobody else has contributed as much as you have to improve this phone. Not only have you developed this awesome mod but you have gone out of your way to teach and help the other devs improve their code, and you
 
I got a spare MT if you want to use it to lol.I don't have all the required things to build a ROM or even the knowledge like you do mantera.
 
There is still a great development team behind this phone like: G60, austrie, mobster, b_randon, gannon, and more. Mantera leaving does suck but we still got a lot of devs working on this devise. It does seem though that moving on from the triumph is happening sooner rather then later for most of the community. Triumph is coming up on its first birthday and with the evo and iphone coming to vm it seems its coming time to put it to rest.

just rooted my triumph, very happy with the roms, my cameras still doesnt work, any hints on restoring it? i click the camera, and it comes up with a "can not connect to camera"
 
Time for me to sell my triumph seen the htc evo v 4g have ics and the cameras works I would get it and I thought cm9 is gonna be more stable and the camera working but that's a false but anyways thank you devs for doing amazing job on this rom I hope later on somebody bring back cm9 from the dead
 
Lets just move this riiggghhht up here. I know sooner or later someone is going to come along that knows how to fix this camera. Its not impossible. Just takes that perfect someone to do it. Im perfectly happy with cm7 but it would be pretty dang sweet to have ics. And not everyone is going to the Evo. Its alot of bells and whistles. I mean who even uses 3d anything. Has anyone been to a 3d movie lately? Its a 15 dollar headache. So we'll just leave this right up here :)
 
Well, I said heck with it and Flashed to CM9. I just wanted to see how well it worked. One question, and I apologize if this has been answered, but is there a way to get the Menu-Home-Back-Search buttons to light up again? After I installed this my buttons stayed dark.

I also figured I would test the screenshot feature and post it :rolleyes:. Sorry, I love my Widgets LOL.

change ur brightness..use automatic watever. whenever u reboot though u have to do it.

Enable the automatic brightness. As long as you leave it enabled, the softkeys will still light up.

Otherwise, you can just change the brightness and set it but that will only work until you reboot.

as far as ive seen there is only 1 non-froyo rom that has working hdmi, but it doesnt have fully working 3g/or mms

as ive seen most dev's say, unless someone figures something easier out the only true way to get the hdmi to work would be to completely build the OS by hand

thats what the person with the one working hdmi on non froyo did, but in doing that you cant use fixes for things like 3g and mms that other roms use cause all the rest of your coding wont match up, so youd have to hand build those as well except noone really knows that much about them

also unless someone fully picks this project up on here, the dev has left this device i believe, and not tryin to come off sounding mean or anything, but the way ive seen it is nothing higher then froyo that supports hdmi has ever been 100% functional so i think people have just gotten used to it lol

easiest way ive seen is to just keep a froyo nandroid and a nandroid of ur current rom on the sd, load froyo for hdmi load ur current rom for everything else lol
