Finally had a chance to load up CM9 alpha 0.6.2+FB+HDPI and here are my observations...

Devs, hope you guys don't take any of these criticism negatively in any way. You guys are awesome. I thought it all ended when tickerguy and isaac left but you guys continued and gave us cm9. Really appreciate all the hard work you guys put in. No rush and I can't wait until we get a stable rom. Cheers all!
Things I like:
- New unlock is better and quicker. From middle of screen slide to right unlocks the phone. This is even better than the iphone. Slide to left opens camera. I believe you can change this in settings too. Nice.
Things I don't like:
- Phone dialer in CM7 reloaded looks nicer than CM9
- Drawer of all your apps is page by page and you need to flick left or right page at a time. In CM7, I see all my apps and you scroll up or down really quick.
- Long pressing home button brings up the new recent apps. It's much bigger and nicer looking but you need to scroll up and down too much to find something. In CM7, it was quicker where you see all 8 most recent apps.
- Smoothness. If this version has hw acceleration enabled this is pitiful. I was really hoping the whole experience be really snappy. At least better than CM7.
- New UI is sharper looking but a little confusing at times. e.g., in DSP Manager, a thin gray horizontal line separates different sections like bass boost, equalizer, etc. is not obvious enough.
List of things not working:
- Touch has problems: You can't tap something and make a selection sometimes. Seems like you need to be still and press on it for a full second to select something.
- Bluetooth "media audio": connects to my car stereo and the play and pause functions work. But status info like album, artist, song title, track no., total tracks, length and current time position not appearing. Everything worked in CM7 except album art. Devs, please oh please fix this .
- Bluetooth name: is set to "BlueZ" and can't be changed
- DSP Manager: settings in "bluetooth" profile do not work for bt audio. Instead, making adjustments in "speaker" profile affects both built-in speaker and bt audio. "Headset" profile works accordingly.
- Battery percentage don't show only default icon work in system status bar.
