camera is gonna take a lot of work, but there are devs working on it, but it's gonna take time. and if you mean like prepaid visa possibly. If you can you might just get a moneypak from walmart and add it to a paypal account and do it that way, because I know for a fact that works.

Call VM. If you bought the phone then you have a warranty and you can definitely use it. Call them up and have them send you a new phone.

I noticed on 0.6.6 my phone's GPS was working better than it ever had before, but this morning I upgraded to 0.6.7 and I am not getting any GPS signal at all now.

PS: This ROM is AWESOME!!! Keep up the great work!

I've read where plenty of people on here have had great battery life, if not better than CM7. I have been having the reverse effect. I normally have to charge 2 or 3 times a day just to keep my phone going. I installed the app BetterBatteryStats and I've nailed down some issues. I have a handful of wakelocks for things. I've listed the top processes in order from highest to lowest.

mediaserver (1013)
*wakelock* (1013)
*wakelock* (Pandora)
*wakelock* (Handcent SMS)

After these, everything seems pretty normal except for another wakelock by the music app. Just wanted to know why these are draining so much and how to fix them? I know 1013 is the service that pulls data from google about the music I'm listening to, but it was neevr this bad on any of the other ROMS I've had. Would wiping everything and restoring it help?
 
If your processes access data, then they drain the battery. If you really can't live without these processes, then your battery life will be poor. Is there some way for you to exit the processes when otherwise not using them?
 
umm, i installed the new cm music by deleting then replacing the original one in the system apps folder, but once i get it running, it works for about 20 minutes then after that i get nothing but "music has stopped working". any suggestions on how i can fix this? or is this happening because the rom is still in alpha? the original music player never really worked for that long either.
 
Can anybody confirm headset controls working? I've had no luck at all on 4.0. I've flashed each version over each other without doing a full wipe. Just wanna know if anybody can answer/end a call, pause/play/forward/back music tracks. Thanks
 
Is there some trick to getting this rom into deep sleep? I have tried everything I can and it still won't do it. I have turned off wifi, bluetooth, 3g, gps. I am not running any battery savers, fresh factory reset install, the whole nine yards. I love this rom so much and the work the devs have done is amazing but my battery gets hosed so bad. Any ideas would be great.

update: once unplugged it went into deep sleep Yay! cm7 strangely would do it with the same settings while plugged in (I think) gonna do more testing.

I assume you're talking about a wired headset with media controls? I don't have one, so I can't comment on that. Sorry. Did it used to work in cm7?

I'm assuming that you're running v0.6.7? Yeah, there shouldn't be any reason to go into deep sleep if you're plugged in. And I think there's processes running that are checking to see if you plan on doing anything while plugged in. So that may be why it won't go into deep sleep.

Either way, if you have the phone unplugged (as you found out), it will go into deep sleep.
 
So once there done with the alpha and beta, would we get the option of having the on-screen buttons and disabling the capacitive ones?! :D Would be AMAZINGGGGG!!!

From the notes in the code, it sounds like they may add an option at some point that a user can configure whether or not to show the 3 softbuttons. However, for now, it needs to be set in the source code one way or the other.
 
Yeah it worked in cm7 as well as miui. Power amp has an option to use the controls and there is also an app on the market called jays headset control that works as well. Neither work on this rom. Just letting you know. Thanks

Same issue with Jelly Defense... I am completely happy waiting for upcoming versions to fix it, though. Thanks, Devs, for all your amazing work. You are the bombs!!
