Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Log in into your other Google account with the other apps and then switch accounts on the Market and then you have access to the other apps and all you have to do is not sync the email if you don't want to. :)

Ok, thanks, do you know how can transfer apps from one google account to another?? I contacted some of the devs and they said its not possible to do it on their end??

I would tell you to try contacting Google. Which you have been trying to do. I don't know a better answer besides saying to just use both accounts and don't sync everything for the one you don't want to use.

I can ask around in the staff area (or you can post in Private Chat With Staff or Google or The Lounge). All those are areas that are not device specific, so you might find some more help. I would pick one and try posting there, not all of them at once though.

When I'm on CM 9 and I'm on the internet, example, I will go to CNN,then I will back all the way out, then Ill restart Google again,it takes me to the CNN page. How do I perm close a web page when I'm done. When I was on stock,it gave me the option of closingall tabs. This cm9 doesn't give me that option. I've noticed my battery drains more when web pages are not perm closed.

I use Dolphin Browser. It closes like that when you back out (or long press back key to close) I can't help you with the stock browser as I haven't used it on CM9 yet.

From the browser you can hit Menu--> windows--> and close the windows. It will take you to Google.com, but the others won't be active

Thanks for the feedback but someone advised me to try dolphin browser. Although Ive only had it installed less than a day, I love it, one being because in menu settings, it gives a exit option that closes all browser windows. Thanks again.

Anyone else notice more of a battery drain on this than cm7 reloaded.... I love the smoothness of this but the battery drain is getting annoying

one thing I just found out is NOT to use a battery saver. They just keep the phone from going into deep sleep. I can leave all radios on and the phone will deep sleep and sip power.

Alpha 0.6.8.9
-updated kernel version to 2.6.32.11 (note: I had to leave the kernel version showing as 2.6.32.9 because changing the version number broke wifi)
-Added net data usage limit (thanks to NakeMcKn for reminding me to do that)
-Updated build.prop to ICS ID so Chrome works now
-Removed OpenWnn IME since nobody uses the Japanese IME
-Possible fix for headset media controls added

Let me know if the headset media controls still doesn't work since I don't have any way of testing that. Thanks.

I also added this to the Not working section:

-Known issue: after flashing, you may need to manually connect to your wifi the first time. After that, wifi will only autoconnect every other time that you toggle wifi on and off. You can manually reconnect at any time though. Needs to be looked into further.

I also just wanted to add that for the Data Usage limit, see the attached screenshot:

data_usage.png

You can manually move the orange warning line (and the limit line if you enable the Mobile Data Limit) by touching the line and sliding it up or down. The default is 2.0 GB for the warning so as you can see from my screenshot, I upped it to 2.5 GB on my phone since that's our limit.

I had a question - when upgrading from a previous CM9 build, can I just wipe the caches like in the CM7 ROM, or is it recommended that I do a factory reset?

Easy battery saver works wonders. Seriously give it a try.

Thanks for the update Mantera. Downloading now. Will let you know if the media controls work. I appreciate you looking into it. :-)

Quick question Mantera... I noticed the file size is a little bit smaller now. Is that due to you taking out the OpenWnn IME?

Sweet, now I can get rid of the annoying warning that appeared when I passed 2GB

And to think, I was just saying earlier today "It's been a while since the last alpha update" and look here we are :D

After having wiped my microSD, It seems that CM9 is having issues reformatting my card. I guess I'm stuck with 0.6.7 till I can get a card reader

Just thought I'd tell everyone who didn't already know that ICS has a native screenshot utility. Just hold power and the volume down button at the same time.

Maybe CM will get rid of the option in the power menu now that it's kind of redundant. Either way, still cool.

Keep up the great work, guys :)

Thought I would let you know, you can format your SD card in CWM Recovery.

Sadly I use my phone way too much to sacrifice the camera, USB tethering, and system settings...but once those 3 things are functional I'm gonna be on this ROM like kid on an ice cream sandwich! (See what I did there?)

Did you remove voice actions in the new build? I notice that it's gone. How can I get it back? I like to setup my alarm using it.
