Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Voice search is still installed for me. Did you do the standard cache wipe, reinstall gapps, and reboot a second time?

On a different subject, I tried disabling my battery saver(juice defender) and I seem to be getting much better battery life with this rom now. Not sure if it is something to do with this specific build or rom or with ics in general, but I think I am getting better battery life without it. I'll keep checking it though.

How do I get my voice to work. Im on CM9, latest update and just installed voice search. The voice search works in its own app, but on my keyboard, the mic button does not work. Also, in the browers theres no mic option, where there used to be before?? Thanks for your help.

Mine did the same. Just re-flash gapps and it will be there.

It is best to clear caches, then install the update, and flash the gapps linked in the first post, not the CM7 one.

More and more thanks for all your work Mantera!

This update already seems smoother and faster. I am even getting slightly higher quadrant scores(I think).

I can also confirm chrome works. It's surprisingly fast too.

Exchange email still doesn't seem to work for me, no biggie though.

Also noticed I seem to be using less RAM on this update.

Youtube HD works but not SD

Netflix doesn't seem to work.

GPS seems good.

Voice works fine for me.

The keyboard seems to be working much better for me. Before it used to lag sometimes when opening or closing it.

Wifi speeds seem better.

Thanks again Mantera! This is a fantastic Rom!

ah ok i had mobile data disabled i see now thanks :) is there anyway i can log what happens when onlive randomly force closes so I could send it to someone to look at? its kind of frustrating :/

And to think, I was just saying earlier today "It's been a while since the last alpha update" and look here we are :D

After having wiped my microSD, It seems that CM9 is having issues reformatting my card. I guess I'm stuck with 0.6.7 till I can get a card reader

Go to staples, Walmart, target, best buy, radioshack, or circuit city. They will usually have one for $15.

ummm... your phone is a card reader.... just hook the phone up to the PC, mount usb storage, format FAT32. Good to go. I don't have a card reader, I use the phone for that.

There's apps in the market that will keep running logs:

alogcat
Android System Info

or you could just type in the terminal on the phone

su
adb logcat > /sdcard/log.txt

and then leave the terminal running in the background.

I'd recommend that you check with the OnLive developers/site first to see if anyone else is getting the same issues.

Can anyone that has a headset with media controls try this buttonremapping app that Raptor5150 used to figure out his OnLive controller buttons from this xda thread and tell me what the button keys numbers are or if we even have the correct button layout file running?

[App] ButtonRemapper - Beta v0.2.4 (New Galaxy S version added) - xda-developers

If we had that info, it would be easier to see if the button layouts are set properly.

Thanks.

i wish i had a headset that had that.. my sisters skull candies might ill try them after i get back home. on a quick side note should i have logcat running to see why onlive crashes every now and again would that even help to figure out why?

The logcat "may" help you. I couldn't say for sure. It may show if an error happens right before it errors out and may give you a clue on what is happening. Perhaps, you might be able to google to see if anyone else is running into the same thing.

one thing I just found out is NOT to use a battery saver. They just keep the phone from going into deep sleep. I can leave all radios on and the phone will deep sleep and sip power.

Absolutely, I am still on CM7 reloaded and I had Juice Defender on and I one day switched it off and my battery life increased A LOT even when the phone is in use. It's like Juice Defender was constantly using something when the screen was on.

Anyways, any updates on the camera? It's all I'm waiting for in CM9 before I upgrade. Camera is absolutely essential to me.

When I installed the latest cm9 update, I lost my voice, it works in the voice search app but doesnt appear anywhere else. Agent13c was saying to clear caches and to reflash gapps. What gapps file is this?? When I first flashed cm9, I only flashed the one gapps file, which is the android market. I have a gapps voice file but it is for cm7. Does anyone know where I can get the gaps voice file for cm9, if there is one??

Also, I have noticed that when I have my phone plugged in to the cigarette plug and running either tune in radio or maps that it looses charge. I would have thought that with it being plugged in (no matter what app Im using), it would have enough to charge. Has anyone else had this problem??? Thanks for your feedback and help.

I have an apple headset that worked on CM7 along with the "JAYS Headset Control" app. I plugged in my headset and the app only picked up the 116 (Power) button. Am I doing something wrong?

No, just most android phones can only detect one button no matter what. It's a hardware limitation.
