Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Uh, you sure that's not 200mA?
I think it would take around 40 hours to fully charge a dead stock battery, with the phone turned off at that rate... May not ever f fully charge without damage.
Not trying to argue with you, but that just seems strange on several levels.

Yes. pretty sure. Otherwise when people change the value to 500, I seriously doubt they are really drawing 50,000 mA.

Edit: and I forgot to mention...the documentation says it's mA.

Hah, yeah guess not.

Can't argue with the docs, I guess... But damn, I think the screen backlight draws more than that... By a good margin. (50mW@10-12v) and that's for a 3.2 in.

So, the gist of it is:
If you MUST charge via USB, turn yer phone off!

Ok, sorry for the derail.

Well, i like CM9. It improved my phone a lot. My only con is the lack of camera, as i did use the camera quiet a lot. But my wifi is a LOT faster now, i never had issues with it dropping even after hours of use / no activity. 3G working good. The GPS works A LOT better. on stock it took 5 minutes just to start tracking my location. Now, in 1 second i get 12-13 satellites, and within 10 seconds it tracks me to 10-30ft accuracy. LOVE IT! Im surprise how much a rom can improve a phones connection!

http://i.imgur.com/refLY.png My internet hasnt changed, but i use to never get over 5mbps on my phones wifi, now its far faster... I noticed sites loaded a lot faster the day i switched to CM9

I remember reading somewhere in the code where it says 2mA too, but all evidence point to around 400-500 mA on USB (a spec maximum), and 900 mA on AC charging. So sometimes when it doesn't seem like it's charging, it's because the phone is draining more power than around 400 mA, like with 3G data on, bluetooth, gps, screen, or something running in the background. If you 'su', and do a 'cat /proc/kmsg', regularly it reports the battery state and how much current is being drawn or charged.

I mentioned a few pages back that I would go to roaming and the only fix was to toggle airplane mode to get out of it. Any suggestions or ideas? Only happened with.7 and latest. I switched prl's when I was running miui before initial release of ics could that possibly be causing an issue now?

once the camera is working I will definitely be giving this a try. I cannot wait!
From what I have seen, it looks amazing!
Great work so far, and keep it up

No because I changed my prl back when CM7 for the Triumph was being developed and it worked fine but now in CM9 it goes into roaming frequently as well as not coming back into service when it gets out of a dead zone.

I haven't seen that issue on my phone. Did you try a clean wipe and reflash the latest? And before you start re-installing your apps, does it still do that?

And the PRL shouldn't matter. It is ROM independent so if it works on one ROM, it should work on all of them.

Is there any way we can get the miui mms. Apk to work with this rom really the only thing I want is the pop up to reply

I doubt that the GB MIUI mms.apk would work properly in ICS; although, I'm probably wrong on that. So the real answer is, I don't know, I haven't tried.

However, if you're going to try an apk from MIUI, I'd recommend that you try the one from the MIUI 4.0 version that Austrie is working on in the other thread. I would bet you'd have better luck using that version than the GB one.

If all you want is a pop-up for your sms or mms then GO SMS from the market has pop-ups for both sms & mms. It also has the ability to reply from the pop-up.

That's weird, my 3G and WiFi has not been a problem for me at all.

My 3g is much worse than on the stock. I know the ROM doesnt replace the radio but I am showing 1-2 bars where I was having full scale and I am dropping calls. the 3g data drops out all of the time. It is almost unusable on the latest rom.

Wifi has also regressed. It is working but not reliably on this rom.

Doing a complete wipe now and reflash to the latest version now, dunno why I had no problem with initial release up to 6.7 when the issue started. No apps have been added since now and then outside of flashing to each newer version virtually nothing has changed. Will find out shortly here and thanks for the reply and hard work that's been going into this project.

Dumb question, forgive me if it's already been addressed.... Has anyone noticed clipping of the earpiece when talking on the phone? It doesn't seem to get any better when I turn the phone down. Just a curiosity at this point. I am a mechanic, and I have to keep the phone turned up when talking due to hearing damage that I got when I was younger. I'm not deaf, just need the earpiece turned all the way up most times. I've only got about 15% hearing loss from loud cars. Thanks guys, the phone, other than the earpiece thing, gets way better every update. Keep up the good work.

*edit* also, I noticed on the most recent build (0.6.8.9)that my standard def YouTube is working now? Didn't work right before (HD only), but ok now?

I don't think youtube in included in the newest gapps because it is now available on the market.

In the current build youtube works in HQ but not in SD. This will be fixed (as well as netflix) once we get the hardware video decoding working properly, which I'm working on right now.

Thanks bro. I was wondering about that.
