Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

I finally got around to loading up the 0.6.8.9 update and my Bluetooth headset works fine. I downloaded the keynrtracker.apk (not the remapper) to log the keys, but I didn't change anything... These are just stock.

Motorola S9 HD Bluetooth Stereo headset

Play/Pause = 200
Track up = 163
Track back = 165
The phone button brings up the Bluetooth voice dialer so the key wouldn't log in the app, but it works fine.
If anyone needs any further info, I'll do what I can.

Pic of headset, if you're curious...

It seems that wireless tethering does not work. I tried connecting it to my tablet & laptop with no success either times.

I can't seem to get it to work either, tried turning it off and on multiple times. If I remember correctly, I was able to see the SSID and connect but no network traffic would pass.

I know for a fact that it works, but it is somewhat picky with what devices can connect. My iPod connects no problem, my computer though, not so much

At this time, you need to reboot your phone after every time that you enable/disable the WIFI hotspot. Otherwise, the subsequent times that you enable/disable the hotspot, you will connect but not be able to actually access the internet. So basically, the hotspot will only work properly the first time after you reboot the phone.

I know it's not ideal, but that's the way it is for now until we can get it working better.

it would be a full working rom just if the camra worked:{ lol but we gottah keep waiting for it they should work on the camra and app forcluses instead of the minor thing.....But thanks guys great rom by the way....

Wireless tethering is working for me, at least on my Kindle Fire. I'll test with my PC when I'm at home.
EDIT: Internet still works after disabling and re-enabling as well.

so i have noticed since 6.8.9 my phone overheats and runns out of battery like really fast is this update no longer letting my phone go into deep sleep or do i need to do a fac reset:mad:

Great work on this ROM guys! I've been updating regularly every since it came out. I noticed several subversions back that MMS was listed as functional. Every time I flash, I do a complete factory wipe, wipe the cache, install the ROM, then the gapps. Yet, I've not had any luck in getting MMS to work. The message hangs for hours, saying "SENDING". Then it returns a failed send error. Thinking it might be due to the size of the images, I tried loading a small jpeg onto my SD card, and sending it in the MMS, and it still fails. Has anyone else experienced this, or do I have to change any settings to get it functional?

are you using the stock mms app?
Do you have your 3g enabled?
Have you tried doing a full wipe and then reflash the ROM?

I'm not sure if this is different but Bluetooth audio to my Pioneer AVIC-820BT head unit worked since first release. Worked meaning play, pause, next and previous tracks works. Unlike CM7, song info like album name, song title, current time, etc. is not working. Also, Bluetooth profile in DSP Manager doesn't work.

Yeah my teather works fine, tested it against my laptop and a 3D-DS.

Not sure if i had a full memory dump, when i installed CM9 its sync to my google and installed all my apps, and my pictures...so im assuming i had a clear dump. my 3G speed seems to be the same, maybe a tad faster.

Also im not having any reboot issues with overclock. Even running at 2Ghz, i have ran my phone for hours and never once had a freeze / crash.

Can the tun.ko module be compiled (and possibly enabled by default) along with OpenVPN support? This was quite handy in CM7 and I hate having to restore back to CM7 every time I need the VPN.

It should already be working. It's built directly in the kernel and not as an external module.

Changelog

Alpha 0.6.9.4
-updated kernel version to 2.6.32.13 (note: I had to leave the kernel version showing as 2.6.32.9 because changing the version number broke wifi)
-kernel uses Whyzor's latest touchscreen driver-no longer reports x,y on finger removal, among other tweaks
-disabled bt quick switch so MT will deep sleep even if bt is enabled
-added user configurable setting to enable/disable navigation bar: System Settings --> Display --> Enable/Disable Navigation (requires reboot).
-wifi tweaks - should autoconnect better now, disconnects faster when screen is off (if the wifi policy is set to turn off when screen is off)
-changed the mic fix so we don't remove the fm stuff for phones that do have fm (you'll probably not notice a difference but noting it here in case an issue comes up)

Note: Wired Headset media controls MAY work. I tried one last fix. If this doesn't work, then it'll need to go on the back burner for now. Let me know.

I am soooooo dying to get back on this ROM.....with every ICS update I start scouring through the change log to see if the cam's been enabled, but alas!! Keep up the great work!

unfortuneately wifi is still not auto conecting for me. I even "forgot" the wifi settings and reentered the password, still no dice. Even sometimes its saying my AP is not even in range. My Asus Transformer has no issues so I know it's not my AP. Is there a way to "format" all the wifi settings to see if that helps?
