Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

Was also gonna say, dunno if anyone is getting the same results, but I get better battery life.from default voltages, if I lower them my battery drains faster, and normal voltages leave my battery at 25% at 4 1/2 hours constant use which is more than what the box claims the phone will do.... also I'm scoring almost 3000 with quadrant while my phones undercloked to 806mhz, I get 2700 at 1024mhz, and even less than 2700 with any overclock..... my question is what is the point in overclckjng or undervolting if it produces no responce or worse yet decreases performance. And this is the 4th triumph I've had now with the same results. So before someone says its just my phone think again.

Overclocking should affect performance for the better and Benchmarks are not the way to test it unless it is a FPS benchmark only... Or just testing different apps and how well they operate at different frequencies.

I seem to remember the benefits of undervolting being debated here before. I don't think you're the only one to notice this. Personally, I've never undervolted. When everything else is tuned correctly, I haven't really had the desire to do it. Also, quadrant scores are not really the best measure of performance, as many will attest to.

I was taking game play etc into consideration, six guns on the market flies at 806mhz at1024 it stutters and lags, anything over 1024 and it becomes almost unplayable, this is the same with every game I have, gangster Rio, gta3, 9mm HD etc, even angry birds lags when I overclck,nd this isn't limited to the cm9 from either, I've tried proly every from ad every ocernal with the same results..... just weird, guess I'll be stickjng to default voltages and clock speeds:l and before anyone says try different governors, I have

OK so I thought I'd do a little testing, at 806mhz undervolted 100 from each frequency (122-806) my battery used 30% of itself in 30 minutes, second half of last hour I defaulted the voltages, 10% in thirty minutez, both tests were ran while I played shadow gun on full brightness, wifi on. So its pretty much plain as day to me undervolting, at least on this device is completely pointless. Lol just like to add I just over locked to 1.5ghz smartassv2 and used 16% battery just in the time it took me to compose this message via my phone....

16% isn't normal for ANY phone at all, maybe you need to recalibrate battery if you see the battery ready going up and down or if it is draining to fast...

Schwagg the experiences you shared isn't normal at all, highly rare...

Well since this test was completed earlier I been at 806mhz screen all the way dim, constant dolphin/Google voice/Facebook app use and its used a mere 7% I think the results speak for themselves lol.n..edit I just looked at the times and from 6:40 to 7:40 I used 7% whereas overclocked I used 16% in a matter of minutes with high use. I think I might do a more conclusive test and post so you guys can more accurately see

Its your phone. :p

Amazing rom, i love every single part about it, video streaming has been working for me, all you guys really need is now the camera, and then id be amazingly happy:D:D:D THAANK YOU SO MUCH GUYS

Anyone have any luck changing the PRL for CM9? I tried the method that requires flashing to stock. I was able to change the PRL in stock and it stuck, verified by status listing. However, when I flashed back to this CM9 alpha, it did not stick: stock PRL was listed in status.

I tried the CM7 quick change. It did seem to put the phone into diagnostic mode when in CM9, but QPST could not write to the phone, always returns the following NV write error: NV_UE_IMEI_I NV_READONLY_S

It could read data from the phone though.

Anyone have success updating the PRL for this ROM? Thanx.

I hope that you realize that no matter what PRL that you flash, the prl that is displayed in the About Phone window will not change. The value you see listed in there is currently hard coded just to get the ril working.

Hi, I noticed the buttons' backlight turns off after sometime. Is there anyway to always leave it like that? I have the on screen buttons btw

I did not know that. I guess this could mean that the prl file that I flashed from the stock rom did stick after all. I will have to take a closer look at the behavior of the data for the time being to determine if there are any differences from before. I wish had done some benchmark tests before so i could examine it more objectively though. Thanx.

Changelog:
Alpha 0.6.12.0
-Updated kernel to 2.6.32.32
-enabled init.d support
-updated to ics 4.0.4 r1.1
-minor tweaks to video streaming and phone connections
--removed the MusicFX apk since no one uses it. Use DSP Manager instead.

Let me know if this helps netflix or not. Thanks.

One note about Incredicontrol with this build is that if you click the Apply on Boot checkbox and then reboot, the checkbox becomes unchecked, but the settings are still applied.

You can always check to make sure that the settings are applied by looking at the vdd_levels file in here:

/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/

I'll try it out :D
