I read reviews.read warnings.I knew FULL WELL what was up.so props to devs.my mt dont CONSTANTLLY REBOOT NOW.So, hooooray!!! Shame shame;p:girl::girl:

Reconnected the battery, did a wipe of the cache and a reset and installed CM7 put the battery back in and now it's charging. what was the issue with the version of CM9 I was running/ Anyone else have the same issue?

Of course your phone will go dead if you pull the battery. It won't run without a battery plugged in even if you have it connected to a usb charger.

It probably isn't a problem with the rom itself since almost everyone on this thread is using this rom. It isn't uncommon for battery stats to get messed up after flashing a new rom or update. For instance, my phone would not recognize when it was fully charged. The light would not go green. I fixed this problem by wiping the battery stats.

I suppose it is possible that your cm9 was not properly installed. Perhaps you did not do a factory wipe along with a wipe of the caches.

Since most people here do not seem to be having this problem, it does not seem likely that it is the rom itself that is the cause.

Yes, as I stated went to CM7 I had on the SD card. Phone seems fine now. As I said I ran the CM9 rom for about a week and the battery got progressively worse as the week went on. The weird thing was that the charger was not even recognized - tried different cables, and chargers for that matter, no luck.
 
I been using ICS CODENAME 2.0.0 ROM, and it blows away CM9...... So many more options. It needs an updated kernel and touch screen drivers to be perfect though.
 
mmmm i am not really sure but i would agree with u for the fallow reason.. when i bought the phone the phone did take a lot of time to get full charge when i change to the miui room it get lesss time to get full charge than when i bought the phone and finally on cm9 i get only 6 hours of charge and the icon battery says still charging even now the phone is connected all day i know is full charge because when i change the icon battery to percentage it say 100% charged but the battery still charging.
is weird because on battery menu says... battery usage data not available, and in the percentage when i have 100% charge the time is 6 hours when it reduce to 20% the time some times 12 hours o somtimes is 6 days of battery life

I guess I'm not really sure what you're talking about. My phone has always, regardless of ROM I was on, would take about 1-1.5 hours to charge to 100%. It'll take longer if you aren't using the stock Motorola charger.

The battery stats in the menu always says "Battery usage data not available" so that is nothing new. And the graph under that just shows how long it lasted on the last battery charge. It isn't saying it took that long for it to charge.
 
Instead of complaining, I decided to donate. Although not too much money, $5 is better than nothing. Imagine how much better progress could be if we all chipped in instead of moaning? I know donating brings no guarantees, but I am confident mantera will finish this. He would have done it without donations, also. I just know it! If we want a good ICS ROM (with a camera), every little bit helps. Complaints do nothing.

I agree with you all the way.Another way we can help is to share knowledge to help make this work.Also the guy that does the kernels for CM7 and stock ROM as well as the new touch screen recovery I feel he should be donated to cause his work will be KEY to make the camera work.

Totally agreed. Although if the camera doesn't get fixed. Oh well, IMO. I mean. Its not a necessity for me :D The ROM in general has come a hell of a long way since I first flashed it. Great job, Mantera and everyone else who has helped with this!

Problem is, when I attempted to donate a little to gannon5197, I got an error on his paypal.
 
I'm having some issues with battery life, basically while the phone is in my pocket it uses 5% an hour. If the screen is on it uses 30% or more per hour. My phone does not enter deep sleep mode. And I have tried turning off auto sync, any ideas? Also I am running .14

If you really wanna get to the bottom of it, you might wanna consider downloading an app like better battery stats. It breaks down exactly what uses power and how much.
 
I've also had pretty sporadic battery life with this ROM. I have been using this app llama (it's in Google play). It gives you a bunch of actions and commands and I have it to disable mobile data after the screen is off for more than 5 min. My phone was on battery 10 1/2 hours, mostly overnight and only went down to 91% from fully charged.

I upgraded to 0.6.14.1 and it was working for a few days but this morning I turned it on and when booting the screen froze and turned half green so I pulled the battery to reboot it and now I can't turn it on or if I try plugging it in the light doesn't even turn on can someone help please.

Try this:

Make sure that your phone is not hot to the touch--if it is, it may have overheated so let it cool off first.

Unplug the phone.
Take out the battery.
With the battery still out, hold down the power button for 15 sec or so to make sure that any remaining charge is discharged.
Put the battery back in and then plug in the phone.

Does the charging light come on now? Try different cords also if one doesn't work.

Does it boot up now?

If it doesn't, let it sit for an hour or two and then try the above again. If that still doesn't work, then you may have a hardware failure.
