Root [ROM][ALPHA] Triumph CM9 v0.6.17.0 [FINAL]

I haven't been following this too much since I went back to cm7. Have the signal dropping issues been resolved yet?

I can't wait to try .14 tonight. I think some people miss out or don't understand that this is an all volunteer effort for developing these ROMs. They are not officially supported by Motorola or VM. The developers have lives, wives, kids, PS3, Xbox, dogs, cats, school work, everything you would call a LIFE, that gets in the way of doing development work on these phones.

I think I have a couple CM9 backups stored but with their present titles, I can't tell which is which. Is it alright to rename the backups or will CWM not be able to use them properly?

I rename them all the time, but I've learned by mistake that it doesn't like spaces in the name and wouldn't recognize the backup when I tried to restore. Underscores are fine though.

Oi the battery life is horrible. I don't know how you can use this rom as a daily.. Why is the battery life so different than cm7??

See if your phone is going into a deep sleep. I was getting 1% an hour of discharge on deep sleep when I used CM9.

So it says 0% Deep Sleep and 82% at 245 MHz... how do I tell what's keeping it from a deep sleep. I turned of Auto Sync and no chnage per CPU Spy

I was having a similar issue with CM7. On the standard battery screen on times weren't lining up (meaning somethings keeping it awake). after a lot of searching, I tracked it down to my Exchange connection to my campus email. I removed it and recreated it and if fixed the problem.

So I was reading that a new/updated kernal might fix the camera problem. Now I surely don't know anything about kernals.......unless they are popcorn kernals ;)......but my question is if you know that it's possibly a kernal issue why hasn't someone that knows about kernals looked into updating it?I see a guy that does kernals for stock ROM and CM7 ROM.....couldn't he give a crack at CM9?

Not sure what the deal is but I can't download anything from mediafire. It brings up a blank page is there another link to version 0.6.14.1?

Had to jump start my phone today, I've been running this ROM for a week and liked it, but the last few days it seemed the battery never fully charged. Normally I plug it in overnight and it's charged for the next day. The last few days the red charging light is on as about 12 hours of charge. Needed my phone with me so i took it and it went dead in about 5 hours.

Got home and plugged the charger in and ----- nothing. No red light, no activity at all. left it plugged in over night and the next day once again nothing. I had put a chrage on my old optimus V so I pulled the battery out and jumpered it to the Triumph and the phone booted. Plugged the USB charger in and disconnected the battery and the phone went dead.

Reconnected the battery, did a wipe of the cache and a reset and installed CM7 put the battery back in and now it's charging. what was the issue with the version of CM9 I was running/ Anyone else have the same issue?

I think you guys have defective phones. The charging has nothing to do with the Rom. If the phone is off and it didn't charge, it's a bad phone.
