Yeah the google errors are really odd. I dont get any of what you report.

If your widget dev gives you something to get me to check or test. I'll happily do so.

:-) A problem with the battery level though, continues to report 100% even if the level is different.
 
Well I have been drinking and it made me laugh,
I've always flashed over the top with no issues at all. Except the last time when I came from mildwild and a custom mtd to dans 65mb hboot. Never had any problems though except for camera fc's which I found the solution to and was nothing to do with dgb.
After my 2 days away from dgb I can honestly say it's the best rom I've ever used. Love it.

You can usually flash an upgrade to the same ROM without wiping. Changing ROMs normally requires a wipe - you can sometimes get away with it if they have a very similar base, but it's never recommended.

I'm still sporting the 80MB hboot I used for mildwild (stripped), but actually have more space than I had before. Advantage of a wipe is that I do a spring clean in the process. But 20MB free space in /system feels very wasteful, so I must do something about that soon.

And I'm glad I wasn't drinking at the time because I'd have a liquid-damaged laptop now if I had been! ;)
 
Updated today, and this is great! Faster and smoother.

The swedish language support is a little bit hit and miss, but it's mostly the correct language in settings and the like. Superfluous items aside...

It's the same language file as 1.4. The issue is, I've added much that's not in the file...

I realize this. What I was referring to was the fact that when you choose language, after a factory reset, the choosing of swedish doesn't apply until all the basic setup is done and you get to the launcher.
In french, for example, the change is applied immediately.

It's not a big problem in any way. Just thought I'd let you know :)
 
talking of dGB smoothness...I played with Google android ICS phone in the shop and it
wasn't good at all! lots of lag and jerky. I would have sent it back if I had paid for it.
I was really shocked.I'm hoping it was due to peeps installing all sorts of rubbish on it :-\

Just a quick suggestion for ftp client. I use mainly lftp which is a command line client, and may not be what you're after, but I also have used filezilla extensively and can recommend it. It is an FFx extension though, so you may need to use that browser (they may do a standalone version now, I haven't looked).

curftp looks interesting (CurlFtpFS - A FTP filesystem based in cURL and FUSE ) it basically mounts an ftp connection as a local disk. I've been meaning to try it, but haven't had a reason to make an ftp connection since I found it. :D
