Root [ROM][AOSP]LOTK's Deck's ReLoaded .500 Philo RLS

Well I've been on rc2 now since yesterday and it has been flawless for me. Rc1 was as well, but I dig that the presets were what I run with the exception of wheatley as governor (WHEATLEY FOR GOVERNOR!!!) I strongly urge anyone who slightly likes aosp roms to give this a try. Minimalist is what I'm all about and I appreciate the fact that this was a simple rom flash and everything else that I wanted was a simple flash away. Stay tuned as I hear there's more to come and I for one cannot wait!

Went to this after MikG was not stable and Energy was not getting messages and had no WiMax.

Different, but fast and complete. Look is subtle and takes getting used to.

Hey Guys - My wife is running .44 and is outta Space!
Is the .50 Stripped down even more?

If not...what is the SMALLEST And Still Fully Functioning ROM out there?
Sense or Not....

IT is - and I have moved of All the Non Critical apps -
Just like to keep the ones she uses all the time...ie Facebook Words with friends etc on the Phone....thjose also tend to be the HUGE ones.....Most of her issue is probably her $1mil texts and Pic mails.

What up MahaloCat:D:D:D

You shouldn't be moving anything, all apps will be installed on sd-ext without your doing if you're partitioned and running a2sd;) You can also move dalvik cache to sd-ext, that will free up more space.

So partitioning the SD card increases application storage? I still have 145MG free and will probably unload a couple later. So is it worth it?

It will increase your internal memory big time :)
Depends on how many apps you choose to download.
I got cache running from the sd-ext.
My internal free is 346MB out of 448MB now
I set my ext partition to 2048MB on a 32GB card.
My ext is 1.37 GB free out of 1.91GB.
My sd card itself is 26.7GB free out of 29.9 GB.
Just an fyi
So yes, it frees up alot of space:)

1024 would be more than enough for smaller cards, I doubt you'll ever need any more than 1gb

I looked back through the thread and didn't see anything about the class and size of card. I'd suggest you should look for a minimum 16 gb class 10 or better card.

Class 10 card really isn't the best for this old Evo, class 6 would probably be the best. These newer phones will see a better benefit of the higher classes;)

RC3 is up!!!....see the op for a linky linky!! :)

Damn, and RC2 is just flying perfectly for me!

I need to tutor myself on partitioning my SD card. Sound slike with 16GB, 2048 is the better size. And I have to say, no problems with my Class 10 SD card at all.

Thanks for such a great forum. It has made my phone immensely more useful so that I might keep it until LTE is fully deployed and WiMAx is turned off.

changing the wifey's phone to this rom. she has deck's GB, with dt, now.

this is the first time i've installed a new rom after already having dt previously setup.

is there a cool way to reinstall the apps already on sd's partition, and to get dt recreate the sym-links of everything that's already on the sd's partition? if so, what's the process?

-flash rom, then gapps, then dt
-then do something clever?

or if I need to reinstall the apps,
is it best practice to format sd-ext?

then's it prolly:
-flash rom, then gapps, then dt
-use TB to install (or install from scratch)
right?

Thanks!

well if you have the card partitioned then it should be:
1.make a titanium backup backup(or if you have the pro key, you ca make a flashable .zip file)
2.nandroid with sd ext backed up
3.wipe (i always wipe sd ext as well, unless you are just updating the rom then it is not necessary.
3.flash rom, gapps and dt.
4.go to the play store download tb(or flash the .zip file if you made one)
5.restore your backups.

it should automatically reinstall the apps for you to the sd card. if not then go into terminal emulator and type in the command a2sd reinstall and then it should move them for you.

hrmm.... TB does zip files, eh? I'll look in to that, I do have the pro version, but over the months (/years?) he's added lots and I've not kept up.

Thanks!

If your card is partitioned then it should be nandroid, superwipe, wipe cache dalvik cache, ( or wipe all temp. Files) then flash rom, gapps, kernel, dt a2sd, and all other goodies (vipermod ect.) Then all your apps will be installed on first boot. So restore app data with TB.

wiping dalvik cache and cache and then flashing a rom should only be done if you are updating the rom. if you are coming straight from another rom i would recommend that you do a full wipe.

and i did forget to recommend superwipe so thanx:D
