[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

Well I installed ROM Toolbox Pro, I can change the boot animation, however I cannot change the boot logo. If I'm correct even on stock you couldn't. Anyone know a way to?

Just saying, but saying root is needed is unecessary for people with ROMs :P

But yeah can't find good solutions, share if you do!

Uh so my phone is on vibrate.

Texts vibrate through go sms.

Picture messages ding.

Calls ring.

Help?!

Can't have it go off in school!

I never had this issue, I use Contacts+, I put my phone on vibrate during school and it vibrates when I get something, no sound.

Well sometimes my phone randomly shuts off and won't turn on until I pull out the battery. It happened once in school.
It mostly happens at home when my phone is on the charger and the screen is on doing nothing, all of a sudden it goes off. Is this just a hardware issue?

No, the same thing happened to me. I missed a lot of calls, texts, and alarms due to it and I had to go back to stock.

To be more descriptive about the problem, it happened for me when the phone was plugged in to the charger. The screen goes black and the phone won't turn on. During this time the phone may ring, receive text messages, and have an alarm go off, however it won't actually ring/vibrate/or do anything. On the other end of a call it rings and goes to voicemail while on my end I get nothing. Once turning on the phone, all text messages during the black screen are lost and never received.
It's a pretty specific issue I think but not huge. It was only bad for me because I plugged my phone in at night and used it as an alarm (which would not go off).

Yep same here, mostly when charging (for me almost always when I'm fully charged) and the screen is on, my phone will go off, and won't turn on until I pull put the battery and reboot.

This ROM DESTROYS my battery.

Did you change the overclock settings?

This can be found in the settings.
Goto your settings > performance > processor

Set these:

Minimum CPU frequency: 432

Maximum CPU frequency: 1188

Check Set On Boot

After I've done that, the battery lasts longer than stock.

I'll try to reproduce this one, but I have never had an issue with lockups when charging or otherwise. I'm thinking "sleep of death" might be a candidate, so can you try increasing min cpu to ~384M and see if that helps things? I am also using juice defender so I'll try disabling it and seeing if I can cause the crash.

If if crashes on the charger, can you charge it on USB and pull a log when it recurs?

Does the lower have to be 432 or 384?

I have the lower set to 118 or whatever the default low is. I did put the higher on 1188 and set that for each boot.

I have the lower frequency set on 192 MHz. However, not all Lucid CPUs are created equal, and the lower voltages in the kernel that give this ROM its improved battery life might be causing the "sleep of death" for some phones at the smallest frequencies. Try the first few frequencies (384, 432, or whatever it shows) and see which one, if any, fix your issue. The impact on battery life should be minimal as the radio and WiFi use much more power than the CPU at idle states.

But if I'm not getting SoD should I use the lowest one?

Also, whats thr procedure for getting gps working?

Also, does the my verizon mobile app work for you all? It gives me some error when I try to pull it up, saying I need to register my account. It worked fine on ICS.

The general rule is to set the lowest minimum that does not cause SoD. If you are getting Son's then bump up your minimum until that behavior goes away.

Gotcha, thanks, will experiment.

Still:

Finally, when you hit the volume button, you know how it goes down to vibrate and shows the virbrate icon? Well when I go to silent it shows a picture like its on loud. How can I find a way to change that to the silent symbol?
