[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

Yeah I've had the same issue. I only connect to 3G, in places where I would get 4GLTE. The 3G speed is incredibly slow, also when will B3 be released?

I changed the Network Mode to "LTE/CDMA/EvDo/GSM/WCDMA" doing a speed test now (LTE is on), says 3G, checking if the slow connection issue is fixed.

Edit: I've tested, it's still slow, that max consistent for a few seconds is about 25kb/s, which is very slow.
Issue persists after reboot and airplane mode [toggling on/off] (I did turn off WiFi while testing).
All that changed after reboot was the Network Mode, I changed it back.

Are you running the ZV8 baseband? If not, try upgrading to it. If so, try a backup and clean wipe to see if the 4G comes back. A log pull might be helpful if none of these do anything (see instructions in the FAQ post if you're not sure how to pull a log). I have never had a 4G issue and so can't reproduce or fix the issue without some kind of log.

Yes I'm running the V8 baseband and I'll check my backup soon and pull some logs.

You mean removing root and going back to the stock ROM?
Just use the backup you made.
If you didn't reflash GB, it should auto-update to ICS if on data and be unrooted and stock. If you mean will unbricking wipe your phone, well yes it will.

I don't have a backup. I have a stock firmware which I rooted.

I followed that guide step by step, and it didn't give me an out of the box OS like I was expecting. Its like it reloaded the system but not the personal data?

I was on V8 and used that guide to go to V8. Should my phone be wiped or no?

Seems like its not rooted now but I want to be sure.

All the unbricking does is fix the system, if you want the out of the box OS then you have to do a hard factory reset as well (where you boot the phone using power+volume down.) Also you will have to do the factory reset if you want the CM10 ROM to work on your phone properly.

edit: also your phone will not be rooted.

All I care for is unrooting, is that what the guide does? So doing that process changes the OS, but leaves my data alone?

Also, can it be used to perform downgrades from v8 to v7 without a problem?

As far as I know, it should be fine for going down to v7, but it gets super freaky when you go down to GB without the factory reset.

That I can believe. May have to go try the v7 thing though.

But you confirm, the restore method there will erase my root so I can send it back?

Then a factory reset would finish off everything else so its like they get a new (malfunctioning) phone?

One question I have about this rom before I try it out-

you all know on stock how easy it is to turn on and off data in the notifications bar? Is there anything comparable to this in the ROM?

Yes, it's got even MORE widgets then stock there and it's got more ability to be custom.

Check out my video for a bit more info on the ROM, basically I go through the settings and show features, nothing too major.

Cool thanks I'll have a look.

If the 4g problem can be fixed I'll definitely try this out.

Still might anyways.

One question- can CWM and stuff be undone? Like if I do this, can I undo it all simply by reflashing stock?

Or is CWM permanent?

Make a backup in CWM while still running GB, so when you install CM10 (plus gapps and the baseband) you can go back to the backup and return to stock.

I personally haven't had a problem with 4G at all with this ROM.

Is it 100% reversible?

Like uninstall CWM and the mod and revert to how it came out of the box?

edit- bluemeany- did you used to have a tc?

Seems like I'm a little late to the party but great job stcarlso! This rom is so slick and feature-full that there's no way I can ever go back to stock.

That being said, I can't get GPS to work. I've tried resetting the AGPS data, letting GPS get a lock in GB before flashing, and voodoo magic but I can't get it to work. I do not have V8 baseband flashed if that's relevant in any way.

I've read through the thread a few times but is there something I'm missing? This is the only feature that doesn't work for me.
