[ROM][BETA] CyanogenMod 10 for the LG Lucid

Don't know if anyone else has tried using super su instead of SU... but I am with b2 and I have had much better luck with WiFi and FC's...

I have been hanging around in the Lucid forum for some time now and finally bought a used Lucid on Swappa to put CM10 on and swap it with my wife's Lucid so she can have wifi tethering again. I thought I knew exactly what to do, but I struggled for two days to make it happen. Eventually I re-found JJPR97's post that contained links to a guide he had written. I have added my observations to that guide and placed it in my LG Lucid Repository for all to enjoy, along with pretty much every Lucid file I have accumulated.

I would like to thank JJPR97 for his guide and a very big THANK YOU to stcarlso for the ROM.

The one big issue I am having is the inability to download any files to the sdcard from box.net or even move them over in usb drive mode. I am running CM10-20130401-UNOFFICIAL-vs840.

Edit: also cannot save a screen capture.

Edit2: Disregard my issues it was my own doing for using the wrong ROM (cm-10-20130401-UNOFFICIAL-vs840). I applied B2 (cm-10-20130331-UNOFFICIAL-vs840) and everything seems better.

I;'ve been watching this thread with great interest and I'm about to pull the trigger on CM10. My other phone is a GNex that usually has a Carbon nightly build on it. One of my main gripes about the Lucid is the amount of on-board space in the device, especially with over 2.5GB being used by "system data". I unrooted my phone a while ago to go to the last official VZ build but before I do, can someone let me know how much space CM10 is leaving on the device?

*Please* don't comment about moving things to SD cards, etc. I know... I'm more interested in comparing the space taken by the OS on the stock build vs CM10.

Thanks

I love this ROM but I'm having the problem where it will shut down by itself, usually when it's in my pocket (it's a loose pocket so there is no "pressing" the power button problem) and besides the GPS issue, I've noticed that after a battery pull or turning the phone back on it sometimes takes quite a bit of time before data restarts (the bars show 4g and full but are grey instead of blue and data / internet won't work till they turn blue). Also the battery now seems to take longer to recharge than it did before. I believe the shutdown is probably the dreaded SOD problem, because it usually takes a battery pull to be able to restart it.... Anyone else noticing this?

Have you made any performance changes? Not all phones are created equal, if you have made changes to performance try running with the stock setting. It sounds like your phone can not wake from sleep I would try to raise your min cpu speed until you find the setting your phone likes.

I can confirm this ROM works on the LG Optimus Exceed. I was able to get Gingy on my phone, however data did not work whatsoever. I then flashed the ROM after rooting and it seemed like data still wasn't working. Then 1X popped up and, after quite some time, so did 3G. Everything else also seems fully functional!

EDIT: The ONLY thing I just noticed is that the carrier on the bottom of the lock screen says "No SIM card.|Verizon Wireless". No biggie.

No about only change I did was set it to smartass govenor I think. Left everything else at stock. I'll try raising minimum up a couple of notches. I'm gonna go back to gingerbread and try the satellite lock first then flash cyan again. It's a pain to geocache when your phone won't see the satellites.... lol

quick question, does anyone else have a problem were the phone overclocks by iself. i notice a huge drop in battery and go look and its at 1512 ghz. ill set it back to 1188 and a bit later boom 1512 again. any fix to this?

What are you using to change the cpu setting? Have you tried using No-frills CPU Control or System Tuner? My wife's Lucid does not like to run CM10 at 1188, I have just left it at the default 1512.

See 1512 drains my battery at 60% an hour if not more per battery spy and 1188 maxes at 30 an hour but below that I lose performance.

I'm running this on my Optimus Exceed. Everything seems to be going smooth except for MMS. I can not send them whatsoever. Could this be due to the fact that it is not a true Lucid or is it just a common issue others are having too?
