Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

Tickerguy and Isaac you guys are fantastic. Started running the most recent build on my MT and it is running fantasticly. Thanks for the hard work and can't wait for the next build :)

Damn! Just pulled 4022 (1.9GHz, performance gov, ext4) on the new build. Ridiculous.

Check my thread for the new build. Will push all the new changes to Github later.

Damn!!!! Man I can't freaking wait until issaacs build!

EDIT sorry I didn't read the bottom part thanks Isaac

Ok cool. Thanks for the heads up on that info.

So with your build Isaac, does it pretty much work like tickerguys but just tweaked a little bit? What's different?

Same things working, same things broken. I worked on a new launcher that is much quicker and allows for uninstalling apps by dragging them to the trash. Nexus S LWP, overclocking up to 1.9 GHz and obviously, ext4 filesystem support.

I also sync'ed with upstream to grab some fixes to various bugs. https://github.com/ikarosdev/android_frameworks_base/commits/gingerbread

EDIT: Admittedly, I've been sitting here running quadrant over and over trying to break the 4000 mark. I finally did. 4022. :) Check my previous post above.

Isaac, since I am very interested in trying your build out, I went to your other thread but could not find a link to the new build. Could you help me out?

cool... isaac, can you tell me how to make a rotary lockscreen? i dont know what to add, edit, or modify to get the lockscreen from tabs to a rotary dial...

I honestly don't know. I'd imagine it would take changing some *.9.pngs in framework-res.

oh... i never have luck with .9.pngs LOL :D i usually just take someones rom who has alot of cool stuff in it, add a kick ass theme, and give them most of the credit.... i think i will stick with that! :p:cool::D

You should be able to flash right over.

you guys are my idols! i barely have enough patients to make a icon... yet alone you guys port amazingness from practically nothing! LOL :D isaac and tickerguy, if i win the lottery you guys are getting a big chunk of it

we mean other than cm7... and froyo

Well, every Android ROM can trace its roots back to AOSP. CM7 is just a modified version of 2.3 AOSP. However, the CM team (IMO) have been careful to keep their source as "vanilla" as possible. They went through the painstaking trouble to make CM source compilable for MANY devices. I've always been (and continue to be) so impressed with what they've done. Just imagine if you took just AOSP 2.3 and tried to build it for the Triumph. That would be rough.

One other Linux-based OS I'd like to see on the Triumph is MeeGo. Since the Triumph is an ARMv7, it should be able to run MeeGo. Unfortunately, the MeeGo handset platform doesn't see very much attention. Here's an old demo of MeeGo running: MeeGo 1.1 on Intel Moorestown Phone - YouTube

Speaking of other OS's I wanted to speak with you about something but since I cannot pm you and would like to avoid cluttering these threads what would be the best method of contacting you?
