Pretty much on Titanium Backup you back up all your apps that you want by scrolling through the list finding the ones you want and you select each of them and hit backup. After you clear data simply redownload titanium backup in the market, open it up, scroll down find drag racing, and then restore data and app. Oh and make sure you select unknown sources before hand.

3. I'm working on an automatic detection of the data drop problem, which will allow me to patch the code to automatically detect and deal with it. That's not a fix, it's a kludge workaround, but it will at least restore connectivity when it drops. It appears that turning off data (NOT going into airplane mode and out) is all that is necessary to restore connectivity. If you're having this problem and can reproduce it (I cannot reproduce it on demand, although it happens once in a while) when it occurs please go into the settings menu and turn off data, then turn it back on and see if the problem clears. I am very interested in reports of whether that fixes it or not for others - it does for me - because there's a big difference between cycling the entire radio and cycling just the data side in terms of power consumption and disruption to whatever else you're doing. Detecting the state of the unit when it happens will require that I do quite a bit of digging as there is (once again) zero documentation as to where the state of things (e.g. whether a call is in process, where the entry points are to turn on and off the data connection is, whether data is actually active as Wifi is off, etc) are stored and can be easily queried and accessed.

I can confirm that simply toggling the mobile data off/on is sufficient. I am one of the people that this problem seems to hit almost every time my screen turns off. I had made a Tasker profile to check for internet (downloads Google's logo over http) and if it fails, toggles the mobile data. This works great, so I imagine any similar kludge you do in the OS itself would work just as well.

This is what I do: I clear the cache, format system and then clear the dalvik cache. Don't do a factory/data reset. Then install. Its what I've been.doing all along and it works great. Don't have to redownload anything or start any games over. All my info and apps are intact.

alright thanks for info boomer and godbilla :) so then im assuming titanium stores w/e i backup to a server then it restores it from there if i do it that way with a factory reset? Just being cautious and wanna make sure i do it right cuz i never cared bout saving anything while playing with the builds but ill try both methods to be sure, but thanks again : )

I've never used titanium at all. Just try my method. Its hassle free and a time saver.

well ima back up regardless just incase u know lol, but then ima try just doing like u said and see how that works but ya, def backing up though so there aint a fark up on my part and lose it for good :p

In regards to the WiFi thing: I only had the screen "lock up" on me once, and that was after being put to sleep for quite a while. I had WiFi enabled for the past five hours or so and the only time I had to do a battery pull was after I left the phone untouched for about a half an hour.

I had this hit me tonight too, but I dont think you need to pull the battery. I just kept turning the screen on/off and after several tries it actually turned on. Maybe I just got lucky but try toggling the screen a few times if this hits you again.

This usually worked for me as well, but on this particular occasion I tried turning the screen on a decent number of times before giving up and pulling the battery. It *might* have come back on eventually, but I had just received a text and was getting impatient, damn it. ;)

Just tried it after you posted, and yeah--mine won't boot at all. You should report that on the Github thing, if nobody else did already.

Relevant Log Errors for the camera:

E/mt9p111 ( 131): Inside mt9p111_process_start
E/mt9p111 ( 131): [user] mt9p111_video_config, sfd = 23
E/CameraService( 131): Invalid setDisplayOrientation degrees=271

E/mm-camera( 131): config_proc_CAMERA_STOP_SNAPSHOT: ctrl->state = 0

I can also confirm hdmi isn't working and oddly didn't log any errors.

Confirmed: 9/24 ROM = Camera does not work and with WiFi on, still reboots.

Please disregard comments if expecting them to be reported elsewhere.

Is their anyway to change the recovery.img straight from the phone useing root explorer or somthing because i dont have a computer avalible at the momment :(

Uh, if your cam is working on 9/24 you overloaded something in some odd fashion. Don't expect that to keep working if you screw with packages and such (including overloading again) until I fix it ;-)

FYI - the latest version posted by tickerguy *REQUIRES* an update to CWM to image correctly. Check his second post for the correct version - it's blue.

If you do NOT install it, and continue to use 4.0.1.4, it will image very, very quickly and it will hang on the Motorola logo.

i am using that version of cwm and it flashed perfectly onto my phone! why is that?

EDIT: sorry it looks like i was running the 9/20 build.... :( sorry for the confusion.

You now officially have my thanks TickerGuy, With tethering working I can now use your mod, I use PDAnet and on the last load I tried it wouldnt work and I use my phone for my internet so this was a MUST for me. So my humble thanks go out to you, keep up the good work

The CM7 repo is currently borked and will not build due to their attempts to add some lockscreen stuff. As a consequence I cannot build at present either. Fixing the camera problem may be a while until I can resync against a stable copy from Github on the CM7 base.

I can manually fix the camera but that's messy as hell, and thus probably shouldn't be done. If I get backed into a corner on this I'll explain how to do it, but for right now I'm waiting.
