Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

I can say that so far every time I have gone to use data on my phone it is working and I always get notified of my incoming e-mails unlike before your latest update where I would have to cycle the data almost every time I pulled the phone out of my pocket.

Thanks for the great fix, I have had this problem on every VM phone I have had, the intercept and the optimus

As slow as my Intercept was, I never had that issue (on 2.2 anyway.) I miss that phone... (I learned so much from it; in terms of of rooting, what you should and shouldn't do...)

Oh... the good times. Thank you TG for making this phone the best prepaid phone on the market.

Installed and started up without a hitch. Great job. Thanks to Tickerguy and all who worked on modding the Triumph (including rooting it), and to Virgin Mobile USA for giving me the freedom of a $35 a month prepaid plan with unlimited mobile date and texting (plus 300 minutes a month to talk).

With a great android phone and a very reasonable prepaid plan, the iPhone 4S barely registered a blip on my radar.

I look forward to future editions/versions.

FIRST POST!

Just wanted to say THANK YOU to tickerguy for doing this! I bought a G1 on release day and have been a fandroid ever since. Thanks for extending Cyanogen love to those of us who think paying 80+ dollars a month is stupid.

I am having an issue with the new beta build.

Sometimes when the phone turns the screen off it will not come back on. The buttons light up but no screen. Only way to fix is to pull the battery. I didn't have this issue with the final alpha build so I've flashed back to that for the time being. Just an FYI.

Overall I'm SUPER impressed with this ROM! Thanks a million!

BTW I kick down cash to people who dedicate their time on stuff like this. You got a way to donate to the cause?

First of all I would like to say thank you to Tickerguy for putting in all the time and effort that he has with this rom.

That being said, I installed the 10/16 build last night to try on my phone, I have been switching between the various builds and the stock rom regularly, checking on the progress. I have been one of the people with the proximity censor issue, which is the only thing that keeps me going back to stock.

Anyways, I noticed on the most recent build, during a phone call, the screen flashes at a higher frequency than before... So it turns on and off at a quicker rate. I know nothing about programming, but I wanted to point out that there was a change in proximity censor function between the previous builds and the newest build. Maybe this can help you in the search for the answer.

Thanks again.

You could just have a bad camera, the first Triumph I bought I had to exchange because every picture I took was blurry. Does this happen on stock too? If it does, I'd call VM and get a replacement..

Thank you for the heads up...I just sent an e-mail to VM asking for service repair / exchange of the phone. Will see what happens.

I suggest you read the first few posts on the first page, they're updates from Tickerguy. This problem with the proximity sensor already has been reported on for a while now and it's on the list of the next fix Tickerguy will focus on.
Just wanted to let you know.
**Never mind, I guess you were reporting that it was flashing quicker than before, I should've read it more carefully

No data drops on mine either, you fixed it. Nice work Tickerguy! That was my only complaint about the ROM, I am now using it as a daily.

ok ive been testing this throughout school today and no data drops! and my school have sucky 3g reception! :D another wierd thing... when im at school my 3g and service is better than it used to be in that location! :p

Been almost 24 hours and no 3G drops! :D:D:D

I also finally got the bluetooth dongle for my laptop and tethering is working fine!:D

For the proximity sensor issue, I noticed today that when I make calls, the screen flashes (as previously reported), however, when I receive them, it goes blank. When I hung up on the call I had to push the power button (twice) to get the screen back on. I just noticed this difference for the first time today (shows how often I make calls:p). I'll try to pay attention and see if it happens every time.

Is anyone else having trouble downloading? I click on the link to save and it keeps downloading the htm instead of the zip.

Yes I still do have reboots, but its not as big of a deal to me. Only 1 or 2 reboots a day. Sometimes even none. I am having a problem with the screen turning back on when I lock it. It will unlock, but the screen will not display, just the buttons will turn on. I believe, however, that this issue was already addressed.

The proximity "flashes faster" is because sensor response is MUCH faster than it was before (rotation, everything) - like several times faster! Unfortunately I've not yet found where the actual VALUE comes back from the proximity sensor. That's what's keeping me from fixing this one (it's on the active list of bugs being chased.)

I haven't had ONE reboot on the B.01 rev. Zip zero nada for problems with it other than the docmented stuff at the head of the thread.

i havent had any reboots yet either and i have been running this since the first hour it was out... also tickerguy, what is causeing the screenshot app to be disfunctional? and why does ddms make the screenshots look red tinted?

Is it normal when the scroll bar reach the very top or very bottom of the screen there is a color bleed of whatever the color of the theme.

yea thats the overscroll effect.... you can set it to do different things to :p (mines set to bounce and glow)

nope it works fine for me.... try right clicking and downloading in a new window. also, if you have another browser try it in a different one.

Thank you Ziggy! Using another browser did the trick. And to Tickerguy, you've done an amazing job!

Thank you for this ROM, I very much like it so far. I was wondering how we get themes? Is it a different process than others whose device is on CM7 support/theme chooser? Thanks :)

there is an app in the market called "theme chooser themes" and its free. it has a bunch of cool themes archived in it. you can also google search for them. you will get a majority of xda links. and there a couple loose themes in the market, like "red remix" :D

tyvm. I will try as you suggested. I tried to download a couple of themes from the market, and they were showing as incompatable, i.e. no option to download them, got confused :o
