TY for posting, too. I found OODLES, but some said you had to flash, others said theme chooser, many were six months old and I was just wondering what was necessary for what. DL'ed bunch from market to try as previous poster suggestedI think there are some themes on xda you can easily get as well. I don't remember the exact link though.
I've been having this screen issue as well. It MAY have occurred on 10/12, but I really don't remember, but it's definitely occurred 2 or 3 times since I flashed 10/16. The screen backlight comes on but not the actual screen. I can even feel the haptic feedback unlocking it and pressing things on it, but just can't see anything. And it's completely random too.FIRST POST!
Just wanted to say THANK YOU to tickerguy for doing this! I bought a G1 on release day and have been a fandroid ever since. Thanks for extending Cyanogen love to those of us who think paying 80+ dollars a month is stupid.
I am having an issue with the new beta build.
Sometimes when the phone turns the screen off it will not come back on. The buttons light up but no screen. Only way to fix is to pull the battery. I didn't have this issue with the final alpha build so I've flashed back to that for the time being. Just an FYI.
Overall I'm SUPER impressed with this ROM! Thanks a million!
BTW I kick down cash to people who dedicate their time on stuff like this. You got a way to donate to the cause?
I wanted the 5 dock icons. When i opened up "theme chooser" in the app drawer, i selected Androidian, only because it showed a pic of 5 dock icons. However, when i choose it, it still stays on the stock 3....Phone, App, and Internet....Is there any way to get the 5 dock icons WITHOUT using a launcher?
Thanks in advance, and sorry if someone also mentioned this!
Anybody tried putting this ROM into the UOT Kitchen for mods? I'm trying to cook up a way to enable transparent status bars for themes that have them, using Ticker's System UI.apk and framework-res.apk. I'm using ADW Ex and live wallpapers, and stat bars still weren't showing up transparent as designed by the dev's (KGill's, for example, are still solid black). Just wondered if anyone else had messed around with such stuff, learning as I go
Are you using one of the cm7 theme chooser themes? If so that is the file you have to upload, instead of framework-res and system UI. I messed with it some a while back, but it has been a bit.

Been running the cm7 beta, and do love it but.....i received a call, then received another call on call waiting, the 2nd caller left a voicemail...after i was done the 1st caller, i called the 2nd caller, and after 3 seconds, my phone immediately hung up on them...i tried 3 times, kept hanging up immediately after 3 seconds....i went to check my voicemail that he left, same thing...i had to reboot my phone and now i'm ok...anybody else having this issue?
IIRC, on the UOT site itself it said which files to upload. I think the theme chooser files overwrite the others which is why you upload and flash those.
ok this is probably dumb but I was checking my running services on my triumph running the 10/16 build of cm7 and it says 137mb used and 159mb free which is a total of 296mb. Shouldn't it total up to 512mb?
While searching through the stock ROMs framework, I found something completely missing from MiUI/CM7: any sort of HDMI support. That's probably why HDMI doesn't do anything at all.
I'm trying to add HDMI support to CM7 as you can see here: https://github.com/ikarosdev/android_frameworks_base/commit/6114f5c93033fd75b136dfea905f4c5988067030

I'm sure with TG's magic touch/help, we can get this working.
P.S. I posted this in the MIUI thread, but it really belongs here.
I wouldn't say I've had worse battery life as you are reporting but I'm definitely no better than stock and maybe a little worse than with my old UMPH kernel and overclock. Like you I usually have GPS and WiFI off and I use the smartassv2 settings with SetCPU. I usually have pretty decent signal but I use the phone pretty heavily with high screen brightness so I just blame it on having a massive screen and a tiny battery. So I've been using the latest build since it came out and my battery life has been really bad. Today at work I only got about 4 or 5 hours of battery life and that's with wifi off and just having the phone in my pocket. I even had the governor at smartassv2 and gps off. When I checked the battery status/usage it showed the android system as the biggest hog. Any one else having this issue?

Its possible you may just need to reset the battery stats and completely drain the phone and then fully charge it without interruption. Sometimes flashing new roms or kernels will mess up what the phone "thinks" the battery is and deleting the stats via CWM and then draining/charging the phone will correct it.Well, on stock my battery would last at least a day even with wifi on set to never sleep but with CM7 I didn't even use my phone and the battery drained quickly. Maybe it's something i did?
So does this have any potential of HDMI working on a future build? If it does then I can finally listen to my music on my TV through HDMI.
