Root [ROM][Beta][FINAL] CM7 Android For Triumph [Tickerguy Edition, Kernel: mine] 11/19

So I've been using the latest build since it came out and my battery life has been really bad. Today at work I only got about 4 or 5 hours of battery life and that's with wifi off and just having the phone in my pocket. I even had the governor at smartassv2 and gps off. When I checked the battery status/usage it showed the android system as the biggest hog. Any one else having this issue?

Yup... I noticed this with the 10/16 build... With everything turned off and barely using the phone I'm lucky to see 10 hours of battery. I hadn't said anything because I thought it was just me or something I did. About the only thing I haven't tried is a complete wipe and reload (I just formatted system and cache and left data alone so I wouldn't have to reload everything). I'm going to try a completely fresh install and see how things go.

One thing I did notice is that 10/16 is seemingly a heck of a lot faster. It even seems to boot faster...

Hey Isaac, if you push your changes to your github, I can build it and test the hdmi later if you want.

It's already up. I pushed everything I changed last night. However, it's in pieces. The HDMI changes in frameworks is in an experimental branch and there are some changes to libhardware. Both of these will not get picked up by a simple repo sync and you'll have to cherry pick them.

The kernel I am using is KNOWN to recognize the HDMI connection (I can see it in the Dmesg output) so the missing pieces are in the 'glue'; I'll look at Isaac's stuff when I get some time.

Yes. I hit some build errors, but I think I'm passed them now. I don't have a mini HDMI cable to test this out, but I'll get one I guess. We may actually have working HDMI on CM7. We'll see.

EDIT: Woot! It built. Will get a cable tomorrow and test if HDMI is working. I'll push the remaining stuff I have to my Github.

Can't wait to hear more on this! Keep up the good work!

Im getting great battery life without using anything like juice defender. Way better than with stoc

So I've been using the latest build since it came out and my battery life has been really bad.

After my six hour shift yesterday I returned home with 72% remaining. You may try something like Watchdog to monitor your apps. You might have a rogue one. Could be anything really, but I'm also getting great battery life. Average of twelve hours. Twenty if I don't use it much at all.

EDIT: Also, if you have a task killer, ditch it :)

What is the "official" unofficial word on the HDMI? i find it a handy thing sometimes, and was wondering if I could help test it out, if needed. Just let me know. ;)

I remember that earlier in the thread someone mentioned a popping sound in headphones when the screen is off - I've had this issue for a while, but it's finally annoyed me enough to ask if there's any sort of fix for it. I tried manipulating some settings in DSP manager, but I haven't found anything that works.

I get "stuttering" when I am playing music, haven't figured why, I have tried 2 different SD cards too

thats a relief that will cross another problem off the list hopefully soon and be placed on the working list. but yeah i still have the idea of the phone having both hdmi out and in. so i can see whats on my cellphone on tv or see whats on my other device on my cellphone. i was wondering if this would be possible or not just throwing some ideas to make the phone interesting and unique.

in a recent post i quoted:
i know this is a lil off topic but would it be possible to do hdmi in(instead of out) on the triumph. i want to connect my devices that have hdmi onto it. i like to frankenstein my devices at times.

i know hdmi out is 720p and we have a 480p screen

For the power widget, there is a color wheel and an alpha slider to change the color of the indicator "lights". Has no effect. Anyone else seeing this?

The notification bar power widget? Or the actual widget?

My notification bar color stuff changes correctly.

Just reflashed cm7 from miui, and works great however the stock launcher is lagging. One person asked if anyone else is having this issue and all replied no, so I know it's not an issue with cm7. When I flashed cm7 I did a factory reset+wipe dalvic cache is there something else I was missing? It could be an app but I doubt it because I have very few apps installed and the ones I do have were backed up from my previous sessions with cm7 and miui. I will flash again, just want to know if I did something wrong on my end, or if I did everything right and just have to reflash. I am going to assume the responsibility

Thanks :+)

Isaac, I'm the guy that bought Tickerguy a micro HDMI cable. If you want to PM me your address, I'll buy another for you so you can test as well. I'm one of the few that actually uses the micro HDMI cable a decent bit, and I'm waiting on that before I make the switch over to the new ROM ;)

No problems with battery life here, I have had mine on for 3 hours today, and it's still almost full.
Im using "2x Battery" It allows me to shut data off when screen is off, however you can set the intervals to check for data every 1 minute, 5 minutes, etc....I have noticed a battery increase. I streamed Google Music for 2+ hours, and tethered for 4 hrs. and I was at 49%....
recommended app:D

Check to ensure that "Lock Home in Memory" is disabled under Settings->CyanogenMod Settings->Performance

I believe that will help, but let us know!

Same here. Last week I flashed the "last alpha" version and had two issues that bugged me enough to switch back to stock for the time being.

One was the sound issue where it skips and pops when the screen is off.

The other was the wifi not waking up issue.

It's amazing how quickly this ROM has progressed, but I'm going to wait until it's fully completed.

Thanks. I was wondering why my home icons took a while to appear after closing out an app. That definitely fixed it.
