Now that it at least Boots (Good News) let's go into flashing MBv1.2zvc [Boot into CWM, navigate to install.zip from sd and find your MBv1.2BSTzvc.zip then make sure you do another wipe data/factory reset, then boot (Boot will take time as it always does after reset.)] and see if we still get the FC error for Android.System. If so it sounds like what |Monster| was talking about here:

It should only FC on boot. after that it's ok. I am not sure if maybe it was an updated boostupdate.zip or not.. we can try using the update.zip I have if it isn't fixed by using the MBzvc ROM.

ok, trying that now.. tx

Steps for the Update:
BOOST UPDATE:
1) Make a backup of all apps + system data via TiTanium BackUp. (Doesn't hurt to make a CWM Backup before hand as well)
2) Go into CWM.
3) Navigate to Backup and Restore.
4) Navigate to Restore.
5) Restore your stock backup. (You can get a stock backup.zip from here: [http://androidforums.com/marquee-all-things-root/518227-stock-cwm-backup.html] if you don't have one.)
6) Now go to Flash .zip from SD in CWM and Flash boostupdate.zip.
7) Navigate to Wipe Data / Factory Reset in CWM and do a factory reset.
8) Then install MB v1.2ZVC.
9) Do step #7 again.
10) Reboot!
11) Restore with TiBU.

YOUR DA MAN!
Got it to boot up with no errors at all!

TYVM... I have a bonus ck coming soon, and will be making some donations in the near future!
Glad I could help.. Must thank |Monster| for all the files and for helping me to understand this myself to help others! You should check and see if out Settings>About Phone Information matches. Also You did install zvc not zv4?

I wonder if that is the difference in the ROM's.. Like he changed what the S/W Version says in 'About Phone'. So you may still have the update but it won't say unless you have MBv1.2zvc. And what made you switch back? The Google Play Music app? You could have just uninstalled that.

I know I just don't like the 3rd party music apps and the Google play music app always messes up my BT headphones

I don't think it comes with a 3rd Party Music App. (I wouldn't consider Google Play Music to be 3rd Party). I am currently on MBv1.2BSTzvc and have Google Play Music installed with Music.apk uninstalled. And My BT is working for FTP and using my PC as BT Speakerphone/Headphones. I am sure there is a way if you wanted it to work.. Your call though haha.

Every time I try to connect my headphones even if I erase and resync the BT it works for about 45 seconds then the music will keep going but I can't hear it.

How odd. I haven't experienced this. You sure its not the Headphones? If not sorry I couldn't help out haha. You don't notice an issue with BT in MBv1.2 (not MBv1.2zvc)?

I will be thanking him, and donating soon ;)

My settings now say;

Baseband- LS855ZVC
SW- LG855ZVC

Tx for all your help!

I believe MBv1.2zvc was built to handle the update. Though I am awaiting to see if the old MBv1.2(w/o zvc) can be used while maintaining the update. Either way a couple things to do before Installing the ROM, depending on what you have done so far. Must be rooted, should install CWM, Make a backup with CWM after it's been installed (so you can have a stock backup), Install the Update.zip, then you can install the ROM. And since you have zv9, I assume you are with sprint.. so make sure you use the Sprint version of the ROM. Hope this helps..

I did all and got the same errors you posted previously. I'm guessing it didn't take the update because the S/W version never changed. Following those errors I did the fix permissions and cleared the cache. At this point am I supposed to re-install the update?

@monster, I'm running ZVC Sprint stock (rooted, patched with zeppolinrox v6 and kak patches and cwm installed). I also manually removed some of the bloatware apks in /system/app and use titanium pro to freeze some of the other apks. Based on your first post this rom has wifi and USB tethering capabilities ; I want to dissect the zip package you have and extract the tethering capabilities, settings, etc. Where should I start? Thanks!

I wouldn't reflash the update unless you flash a ROM that doesn't include it. How far did you get on the steps posted above?

Why make one when there is one already posted? It is posted here: http://androidforums.com/marquee-all-things-root/518227-stock-cwm-backup.html
*Please be sure to take the time to read other posts before asking a question that may have already been answered.*

...maybe he means a stock rooted and deodexed rom? nothing removed, and maybe zip-aligned. I haven't seen that yet, and I would like that as well, or am I wrong? Thanks for all your input on this forum. Half of it "greek to me" but I like watching the progress.

I did up to #7. Except I'm on Sprint, so I did the Sprint update and I'm already on stock. I got the error you mentioned in this post. I'm not sure what to do. I may just leave it stock because I never had any issues like this flashing ROMs with my Nexus S.

There is a sprint version of MB v1.2ZVC. Download MBv1.2SPTzvc.zip here - http://dl.dropbox.com/u/26736615/forums/MB1.2SP.zip by |Monster|.

Wouldn't that just be MB v1.1?

I may be wrong, but that version was modified a bit and themed, I believe...

I was wondering if I had missed a stock rom (nothing removed, not even the bloatware) that is just deodexed and zip-aligned. Well maybe have any apps that can be downloaded from the market, like maps, gmail, swype, etc. moved out of the system/apps folder? But I happen to like Boost Zone, and I haven't really tried mobile id, but I wouldn't mind keeping them for now...

I just don't know how, kinda bugs me that I don't, and I don't know if I am reaching for straws.

I hope that clears thing up a bit... Thanks

As far as I know it did remove some bloatware, added adw launcher, added beats drivers, and changed boot.ani.. Things that can be changed back to achieve what your looking for maybe? That is the only thing I could think of. I may have a nandroid from the day I installed CWM.

Yes I know, and I appreciate your help, but that really wasn't what I was looking for. I can't install boost zone from the market, unless I am missing something. I thought, and maybe I am quite wrong, that is where you would have to start before you removed and added things.
