Root [ROM][BOOST/SPRINT][ZVC]Marky Beats v2 beta[updated 7/30]

Has anyone resolved the issue with Bluetooth on this ROM under ZVC?

I just tried to Bluetooth to my Miccus/Stereo, and while it started up and ran for about 30 seconds, it cut out after that. I saw some posts for the Bluetooth problem a about a week ago, but no solution that I could find.

I've been using MB 1.2 (ZV4 version) for a good few days now and it's pretty kick ass. :D

Plus it seems to have DM mode on by default so the loss of the ##PORT# hidden menu is no longer an issue. Plus I like the new launcher. Doesn't have as many customizable settings like ADW, but meh, I don't need em. :D

I'm sure you'll get Bluetooth sorted out eventually. It's not a deal breaker for me since I hardly ever use it. Don't really have any BT stuff to use the phone with. :P

Use Titanium Backup to reinstall the old music app then uninstall the new music app.... It worked for me.
 
I just now tested the USB tethering and it seems to work very well. I get speeds that are just about what speeds my phone gets. When I had the Samsung Prevail, I had to use third party tethering apps and even the paid versions had slower speeds on the computer end when compared to the phone's speeds.

Perhaps either the result of the better hardware or that the built-in tethering is better optimized for it then third party apps. I would highly recommend this over the usual third party app method. ;)
 
v2 updated. hopefully theres no BT problems anymore. Its not themed so just wait and im sure TTR might make a few ;)

Give thanks to blood and sik00 for providing the zvc file dump. And Blood's Hyper Kernel 0.2 can be installed after flashing the rom(w/radio just in case).
 
Ok got it installed then restored my apps with Titanium Backup. Then flashed hyper kernel 0.2.

So far its working great. Seems faster too. I noticed occasional lag with the keyboard but this new version fixes that and the phone can now keep up with my fast typing.

Also did a speed test on 3g ang got over 2mbits/s download and 500+kbits/s upload.

It's the fastest I've seen it ever go. :D

Thanks! Everything is working fine that I can tell so far! No Carrier IQ and hyper kenne v.2. Seems snappier! Also thanks for the Swype.. Fits my new green theme perfectly. Just wondering if I wanted to have your notification bar and status bar icons and the blue loading color could I? Thanks a million.

did u use the green or gingerswype one?


there needs to be a new framework themed. You should make some..

open the zip for the rom and upload /system/framework/framework-res.apk and /system/app/systemUI.apk to UOT Kitchen

its not that hard and is actually fun to do

I was thinking that myself.. I wasn't sure how to upload which files, but thats what I am going to try to do.. I used Green Swype since I am on Poison Green by Team Carbon for GO- SMS,Contacts/Dialer, and Launcher EX. Only thing I don't like is the word options can be hard on the eyes with light green bg and dark green txt. wish the bg was black. Thanks again though liking the rom.
 
With the rom I'm having issues connecting the phone to tethering both USB and wireless. Every time it states error 67 and that there is no data connection and 3g is dropped but a minute after I have 3g again.
 
(1) So does roaming work on Boost? I have the latest version and am new to Boost, so I just wanted to know if it's okay to enable.

(2) What does the hyper kernel do?
