Root [ROM] CM7 TG-Reloaded (Final: 03-25)

Was there a different PRL put in when this was made? I'm getting service in areas that were dead zones before and my 3g is faster like I read about in the PRL switch thread.

Nope. PRL stays constant between ROMs. And actually you'd have to go back to Froyo to even do a swap. PRL switching may not even make that much of a difference. What likely happened was Sprint upgraded some towers in your area.

thanks for the continued work for this already excellent ROM! I came back to the forum today just to re-download the TG file because of the exact problem you described in the original post - unreliable touchscreen that causes the screen to be unresponsive for a second or two from time to time.
So I just installed this ROM instead and hope that fixes the problem.

One thing which is weird for me is that I had to install both the google base apps & gtalk version despite the original post says to only install one of them. when I just installed the gtalk version, none of my gapp worked(including market).

The gtalk version is actually just gtalk app I think. It's under 3mb and I extracted it, only seen the one app.

Thanks, updated OP. I just quickly went to TG's original post, and thought it included both but apparently not. I flashed just gapps from when installing his original ROM and haven't needed to since.

For those that need it, here is a video installation guide for CM7 TG-Reloaded: Whyzor/TickerGuys' CyanogenMod 7 - Reloaded 1/7/12 Installation Guide - YouTube

Thanks Whyzor!

Look ma! I'm on TV! Thanks for the video. It's amusing to hear someone else say what I usually read in my own head esp the long build date that doesn't exactly roll off the tongue. Makes me want to come up with an even longer name. I want to hear someone say Cyanogenmod7.2-RC0-TG-Reloaded-2012-01-12-GWK74-for-FD1_PR4-WX435 ;)

LOL. See if minus can say it all in one breath. :)

Rofl...I have a hard enough time talking...what's next? The peterpiperpickedapeckofpickledpeppers ICS ROM?

not will be "This_is_an_ice_cream_sandwich_rom_that_has_a_bootscreen_of_whater.img_and_a_bootanimation_of_bootanimation.zip_and_it_is_in_its_beta_stage_made_for_the_fb0_device_named_the_triumph_or_WX435_I_hope_you_like_it.zip" LOL. Try saying that in one breath!

I don't know if this is a ROM issue or my phone.
In the morning today, I unpluged the charger and the battery drained like crazy, more than 10% within an hour, but at around 70% it became steady.

Second issue I had was, this morning the phone data was dead, I've notice this because I didn't get any e-mail notification, and the 3g logo and the bar was colored gray, it should be green when it is on and working, so I open the browser and was getting 'can not connect' page. I don't know if the voice signal was also dead, I didn't try it. I had to reboot to get this thing work again.

FYI. I didn't do anything last night, just plug in my charger as usual and went sleep.

When will be the next version due?

Thanks Whyzor for all your work.

Mine also gets down to 70% really fast. I'm wondering if maybe the ROM is fine and maybe it's just a bad app?

Also could be the battery stats are wrong. I've tried battery calibration, but it doesn't seem to help.

I would guess this is correct.

How long have you been running it? It usually takes a few cycles (letting it get low and charging to full) to get the battery stats correct.

I apologize if I'm pointing out the obvious here.. but I'm assuming you know about the wifi/deep sleep bug?
I lose about 16% per hour with wifi on vs 1% per hour with 3G only.

Just checking :)

has anyone applied this patch?

Last build (01-07) was using similar entries in the gps.conf, I'll look into adjusting some other variables, but TG mentioned that aGPS doesn't work on the MT, due to the GPS binary driver from Motorola is closed source and just doesn't work on this phone.

I usually get initial GPS lock (without network connection) within 2 minutes, then afterwards it's faster. Turning on data doesn't seem to help much.

3G is what I have been using. Using CPU Spy, I see that it has been in deep sleep 62% of the time.

One thing that confuses me is how much I should charge the phone before doing battery calibration. I've heard to charge it to 100% and then keep charging for a few hours. I did that and did the calibration, but after that it seemed to just plummet. Maybe I just didn't go through enough charge cycles.

I did it again yesterday, but just calibrated when the voltage hit 4000mV like someone in anothe forum suggested. It seems to be better now, but still losing more rapidly than I ever remember with other TG versions.

The phone's battery holds more than 4000mV.

Charge it to 100%, turn off the phone, charge till the battery animation says it's done charging, go into CWM & wipe battery stat, turn phone off, charge till animation says full, turn phone on, drain battery till it powers off, turn on the phone again, kill the rest of the battery, and then charge phone while powered off. Then for the next 3 to 4 days, only charge your phone when it's completely(Try to turn the phone back on when it powers off) dead, and let the phone charge completely without interruption(Don't power it back on till the battery is completely full), to let your phone get used to your usage pattern.

You definitely have something else going on then. At idle with wifi set to Never sleep, gps off, I only lose about 2-3% battery/hour.

There is something going on I left my phone at 70 percent and went to my welding class. Wifi was on and I came back 4 hours later and my phone is dead. I dont use bluetooth or gps so those were both off. It seems we have a wifi sleep bug.

Are you overclocked/underclocked? Undervolted? if so, by how much?
